Beat Arts and Letters in the 1969 KY Derby and Preakness
Undefeated going into Derby, disqualified and Forward Pass moved up

  • ruffian75 · Dancer's Image also was DQ'd from a 3rd place finish, in the Preakness. I had posed this question before, but, other than Dancer's Image, and Gate Dancer, being DQ'd from 5th in the Ky Derby, have there been any other DQ's in the Triple Crown. I remember Codex and Genuine Risk, where Cordero's whip hit GR in the head, but, no DQ. Point is, very seldom is an inquiry allowed in the Triple Crown. · 1829 days ago
  • larooski · Dancer's Image won the 1968 Kentucky Derby but was disqualified to last after traces of phenylbutazone were discovered in the mandatory post-race urinalysis. · 1564 days ago
