Older Comments about Machen...

It seems as though this horse may be retired, but I don't recall hearing an official word. Can anyone confirm?

  • SSilence86 · He entered stud in 2013 and is standing at IL Cavallo Farm in WV and his fee is set at private. · 880 days ago
  • mmartini · Thanks for the info. He was a nice horse, and I'm glad that he is well. · 880 days ago
Another tosser for May 7th. He would have had a romp in the LD but for the fact that he just really isn't that talented. A lot has been said of this colt, that he is just starting to bloom etc. but my money will go elsewhere on May 7th in the KD.
he will get none of my money since he has no graded earnings!
So much for a price on Machen! He's 6-5 at 10 minutes to post!
  • icyhotboo · I was looking for 5-2 on conditional wager. In last 2 min he went from 6-5 to 2-1.he's still green and having trouble getting out of the gate.I dont generally like 3yo without 2 yo starts but I see potential there. · 1624 days ago
what time will he be racing at tonight?
Distance won’t be a problem for this well-bred colt. His sire is becoming the now horse, with progeny winning left and right, while Machen’s dam is a multiple graded stakes winner who was at her best between 1 1/16 and 1 1/8 miles.
How can anyone legitimately rank this horse in front of horses such as Anthony's Cross? Crazy...
Moves up again in his allowance race. He sat behind some horses, and exploded when room was found, pretty much exactly what the connections where hoping for. Now has experience rating at a distance, and will loom dangerous in the Louisiana Derby.
Impressive maiden winner Sunday at FG looks like he wants to go longer for trainer Neil Howard. One to keep an eye on.
  • arazi · For the Derby trail, that is. Son of Distorted Humor out of the G2 turf winner, Ready's Gal. · 1671 days ago
