The connections of G2 Dante Stakes winner and G1 Epsom Derby 2nd, Libertarian, confirmed on Sunday that the G1 Irish Derby will be the next target for Libertarian on June 29th at the Curragh in Ireland. Watching both of Libertarian's runs in the Dante Stakes and Epsom Derby, this colt seems cumbersome early on in his races, like it takes him a few furlongs to find his best stride. But in both races he was really flying lights out at the end of both races.
@BrianZipse, You had Libertarian entered as "probable" for the G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup. There's no way he can run in the Tattersalls Gold Cup because it's for 4+YO and Libertarian is only a 3YO. He is however among the final 24 horses entered in the G1 Epsom Derby.
