  • Mike in SB · I would like a series of races like the old Championship Racing Series for older horses, actually in every division of racing. It would be better in my opinion to have the races all around the country not just in New York. Anyway the idea of a handicap triple crown would not work today since no trainer wants to run with added weight, most of the handicaps today are run with the high weight actually carrying less weight than in weight for age races. Handicaps, with real weights, are a thing of the past. · 157 days ago ·

  • AnnaK · Would love a Triple Crown, mostly because it would pull people in to the races, (already started I like to think), plus IHA is such a strong red engine and Mario is excellent, that it just might be. Can't see Dullahan doing it, 27 in the last q good to know, that fancy inefficient leg work, so IHA and UR and anyone else can duke it out. · 697 days ago ·

Just like many of us betting away each weekend or each day that ends in letter “y,” Gulfstream Park is taking a gamble by opening their wagering windows a month earlier than usual. For the most part, the bigger names on this year’s Triple Crown trail have yet to be seen on the track in 2011. That leaves the way open for other promising colts to begin jockeying for a shot at one of the major prep races and, if all goes well, a trip to Louisville. While Wilkinson hasn’t yet earne...Read More
