Well sad to say he is a late running sprinter. But a very nice late running sprinter!

Trainer Barry Abrams said Lakerville emerged from his eventful second-place finish in the Sensational Star in good order and will be considered for the Grade I Frank E. Kilroe Mile on March 8. “I’m happy,” Abrams said. “He didn’t have to run hard, so he’ll be that much better if I do run in the Kilroe.”
Lakerville, prepping for next Saturday’s Sensational Star Stakes, went four furlongs on the main track in 49.40 for Barry Abrams.
With Corey Nakatani out of town next Saturday, trainer Barry Abrams has engaged Gary Stevens to ride Lakerville in the $100,000 Sensational Star Stakes at about 6 ½ furlongs on turf.
Comes back after a long layoff abd storms to the front to win, Sweet Swap impressed me as well.

Can't wait to see him back to racing.
Turf sprint specialist Lakerville, whose long-range goal is the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint at Santa Anita in early November, is due back at Barry Abrams’ barn next week after a three-month respite. “Hopefully, he’ll stay on a good program and win the Breeders’ Cup in 2013,” said the trainer, a major fan of the once-mighty Los Angeles Lakers, for whom Lakerville is named. Asked what he would do if he were calling shots for the aging NBA team, Abrams said, “Well, I’d root for Lakerville instead of the Lakers.”
