  • zesho · The tactic and reasons for this breeding are good but they should have waited until one of zenyatta's offspring started racing, anyhow, I am very excited for this foal, · 304 days ago ·
  • Lyric · Well the reasons behind this pairing is good, I hope that the resulting foal is a well balanced one. Zenyatta's colt by Tapit is well balanced and has a very nice head, where as Z's first colt is not well balanced at all. His head is wayy too big and even with growing up, it will always be unbalanced on a very thin neck. I hope War Front can put better conformation on the resulting foal. I am personally not a War Front fan as he is not a great looking horse himself.Maybe we will al be pleasntly surprised with the outcome! I wish Coz well and maybe he will be a runner someday. · 181 days ago ·
My last post explains why a recent post by Frank Mitchell gave me second thoughts about the appropriateness of Giant’s Causeway as a mate for Zenyatta in spite of the sterling statistical profile he has with her ancestry. But ER Bradley liked the fact that he was so close coupled and his conformation was exactly what Bradley liked in his sires. It was through Bradley that WA became as successful as he did. · 704 days ago ·
  • HorseDynasty · Rock Hard Ten is by Kris S, Zenyatta has Kris S too close in her pedigree to breed her to Rock Hard Ten · 704 days ago ·

  • yukichan · Quite the dramatic finish...Pender Harbour was impressive in his win, but you have to wonder what could have happened if Crown's Path was not impeded and squeezed out of contention. · 984 days ago ·

Pedigree aficionados know that the determined Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Blame and the equally determined runner-up, that photogenic mare called Zenyatta, have similar bloodlines—a mixture of Roberto through Kris S. and Mr. Prospector. I’ve written about it here before. They were really the o...Read More
We all have them. Horses we back, no matter what. Maybe we saw them break their maidens, early on, saw something that caught the eye. Not a “buzz” horse, not an expensive yearling, not an ultra special pedigree, but just something that made us say …hmmm… gotta follow this one. Well I’ve had many of ...Read More
8/21/2007 By Tom Pedulla, USA TODAY Student Council pulled a stunning upset against heavily-favored Lava Man in the $1 million Pacific Classic on Sunday in a perplexing result that appeared to reflect more on Del Mar's new Polytrack surface than on the ability of the horses.Read More
