I hope he points for the Met. Mile
Sorry, didn't mean interfered with, ment that he appeared to lose his footing a bit at the top of the stretch
I thought his run was impressive. He was swung way wide and interfered with but was still rallying, with more ground he would have won

That was a nice work

Was hoping he would try a route one more time, it couldn't hurt to try
Has Sadler said anything about his performance?
Kobe's Back had no chance from the beginning. He broke slowly and, while trying to catch up with the field, went extremely wide around the first turn. The bad start was suicide for a fast horse like him.
  • Floridaf · The bad start had nothing to do with it, IMO. He's a closer, so the slow start shouldn't have negatively affected him in anyway. In fact, being at Oaklawn should have helped his running style, but the field he faced in the San Vincente was inferior to what he faced here. Additionally, I do not think Kobe's Back is a two-turn colt. IMO, he's going to be a one turn sprinter/miler. · 476 days ago
Did not seem to enjoy the mud and was very rank. I wonder why

  • CauseForConcern · He might not have liked the experience of shipping by plane. This was his first time shipping. When you look at the winner, notice that he got beat in the Risen Star, when he was shipping for the first time. This time around, his connections made his experience more accommodating on the plane, and he responded with a victory. · 476 days ago
  • Sully · I think you're reaching CFC, but that's JMO · 476 days ago
not a two turn or derby horse, but i still like him. thereis nothing wrong with having a good one turn horse
  • shackleford · Tough, tiring surface to close over plus being rank did not help. Way over bet considering the horses he beat came back with flat efforts. · 476 days ago
Hopefully he'll prove to be more then just a sprinter
I feel like he is going to be a horse that can close into slow fractions. He has demonstrated an incredible amount of speed
Do you guys think the far outside post will be an issue

  • kaitlinefree1 · i know this horse pretty well. i don't think it will be an issue. · 479 days ago
  • tcglory · its a small field and hes a closer so he will have plenty time to drop back. Id be more worried about fiinding room to hit his run in the stretch · 479 days ago
I'm smelling a big performance from this guy in the Rebel. He just tollied with the field in the San Vincente on a speedy biased track closing. Imagine what he'll do at Oaklawn... I'm high on this Sadler runner.

  • buzzcat859 · Im on him too Union Rags he could be really dangerous · 482 days ago
  • Sullivan · I'm not convinced he wants 2 turns this early in the year · 482 days ago
super excited about the rebel! It will be a serious test to see if he's going to be a two turn horse. If he wins, he'll be my NO. 1 derby contender
