  • Fastcarsandfasthorses · I was just rating these 3yr-old fillies, and see you rated Kilograeme a 10, but you rated Awesome Feather, Kathmanblu, and Turbulent Descent a 1! Did you see the SA Oaks or do you have some strange bias? Awesome Feather and Kathmanblu a 1 -- get real dude. · 801 days ago ·

The Santa Anita Oaks (gr.1) was not just another 3-year-old filly race this year; it will go down as one of the best performances of the season. Billed as a two horse race between the competing queens of the West Coast that’s exactly what it came down to at the wire. May Day Rose predictably took th...Read More

  • BrianZipse · I still like Kathmanblu as my top choice in two months, but I must admit, the California duo put on a strong show yesterday. · 806 days ago ·

Turbulent Descent sat the right tactical trip under David Flores and turned the tables on Zazu in Saturday's Santa Anita Oaks (G1). May Day Rose set sail from the rail and posted reasonable fractions of :23.31, :46.67, and 1:10.67 over the speed conducive Santa Anita Park main track. Her stablemate ...Read More

It doesn't get any better than what these two fillies show coming down the stretch. unvelievable, it was like watching a game 7 world series classic between the dodgers and yankees in a nail bitter. The best horse won in track record fashion deserving the oaks in a thrill stretch run zazu show a lot of heart down the stretch but the winner turbulent descent also show tremandous heart down the stretch to prevail like a champion. · 806 days ago ·

A healthy 117 3-year-old fillies have been nominated to the 137th Kentucky Oaks. Leading the pack of nominees is undefeated 2010 Champion Two Year Old Filly Awesome Feather. Currently the undefeated champ is under light exercise after having suffered a non-career threatening tendon injury. It remain...Read More

  • zatt · Zazu and Turbulent Descent have begun quite the rivalry. I would not be at all surprised to see the two of them coming to the wire together in the Santa Anita Oaks. · 807 days ago ·

Zazu and Turbulent Descent, the top two finishers in the Las Virgenes (G1), meet three rivals in Saturday's Santa Anita Oaks (G1). Turbulent Descent captured all three of her juvenile starts and concluded her 2010 season with a good looking tally in the Hollywood Starlet (G1) in December. She made h...Read More
  • medlocke · The Santa Anita Oaks should be another great race between these two classy fillies. It will be the fourth time they've faced each other in their short careers. Looking at the three previous races between Turbulent Decent and Zazu, It appears to me that Turbulent Decent has the edge on the synthetic surface. Having beaten Zazu in the Moccasin Stakes and the Hollywood Starlet Stakes. Both times on the all-weather at Hollywood Park. But it looked as if Zazu may have the quicker turn of foot on conventional dirt between the two. When she reversed form on Turbulent Decent and beat her at Santa Anita in the Las Virgenes Stakes. Turbulent Decent ran very well in that race on the dirt also. But I'd have to give an ever so slight edge in the Santa Oaks to Zazu with the race being back on the dirt again at Santa Anita.
