Nicholls can't see working with Clive Smith again. I don't blame him.
Six hundred and eighty days may have passed since his last outing in public, but the Cheltenham faithful have not forgotten the dominative performances of the one-time Gold Cup victor, Imperial Commander. Much has been made of the golden era of the Gold Cup; Denman and Kauto Star, whom held the Chel...Read More
  • driveon · GREAT work, Dan. You really paint the picture of the crowd's anticipation, angst then appreciation for their champion. Sensational photos by Emma as well, as usual. · 111 days ago ·

  • Buckpasser · I have always loved Cheltenham and British steeplechase stars. I got the bug watching the immortal Red Rum at Aintree. I always wish that the Breeders Cup could have a steeplechase. A lot of great stars in Europe would come over for that. · 110 days ago ·

Not sure if any one is interested but there is a nice book on Kauto Star by Johnathan Powell. You can get it through the Racing Post or through amazon. There is also a nice book on Frankel. Again you can obtain it through the Racing Post and Amazon. And for those fans of Black Caviar: on her website you can order a nice book about her and signed by Moody.

With Frankel's retirement fresh in the memory, attention turns ...Read More
I seethe has been retired. He is truly one of the greatest hurdlers of all time. Ranks with Red Rum, Desert Orchid and Istabaraq and Arkle. Have a happy retirement KS you deserve it.

  • Buckpasser · If any one gets the Racing Post from England, there is a story in it today about whether KS will compete this season or not. Has some nice pictures of him. This publication is available on iPad and I would imagine on Android ad keeps one current on the happenings across the pond. · 259 days ago ·
