What the Horse Racing Nation is talking about...

Two-time Breeders' Cup Turf (G1) hero CONDUIT (Ire) (Dalakhani) will look to put an exclamation point on his illustrious career in Sunday's approximately $6 million Japan Cup (Jpn-G1). The Sir Michael Stoute charge, who is set to retire to Shigeyuki Okada's Big Red Farm in Japan, spearheads a five-s...Read More
  • Medlocke · I really felt that Conduit would at least hit the board in the Japan Cup. He did, however, manage a 4th place finish in a race with quite a large field. But losing to Vodka in Japan is no disgrace. That would be kind of like Conduit losing to Goldikova or Dar Re Mi in his own country. Vodka is truly a champion mare who has beaten the boy's more than once in her career. · 106 days ago

TOKYO, Japan-- It’s not just the trains that run on time in Tokyo—the buses do, too I arrived Wednesday evening at the Keio Plaza Hotel, the official press headquarters for the Japan Cup, after a 24-journey from Kentucky. Einstein and Gio Ponti are just two of several talented turf horses considering the Aug. 8 race.Einstein, winner of Churchill’s Woodford Reserve Turf Classic (gr. • GBeret · I look forward, if it happens, to seeing Gio Ponti and Einstein squaring off against each other. · 241 days ago
  • GBeret · Gio Ponti is really on top of his game right now. He really owns North American turf racing at the moment. But he may find that facing Einstein on grass may be a little tougher than on dirt. But with Gio Ponti having the youth advantage on his side, one wonders when Einstein's age will finally catch up with him. Einstein's last outing in the Stephen Foster on dirt at Churchill Downs wasn't one of his better performances. Even though he managed to hit the board, he looked like a tired and beaten horse midstretch. · 239 days ago
