On June 28th he worked 3F in :39.80 over Good Dirt at Stonestreet Training finishing 5/6
Well, nothing has been said (about who will train) but if you go to Jess's Face Book page there is picture of him(Jess) with Steve Aussmutin, spelling. As far the ranking them this is just FUN.

  • tmallios · If as reported that Assmussen is out of the Stonerstreet plans. If she is not in Tods barn, then she can't be to highly thoufgt of. Right now Pletcher more than likely gets first dibs on their horses. · 84 days ago
  • goblin · SS, I see what you're saying--just checked Equibase. ;) · 84 days ago
I think this is an awesome colt, but too put him on a list as favorites for the Derby all ready is wrong!!! He shouldn't even be listed as active yet!! That shouldn't happen until they have a least started in a race!!
Say, has anyone every seen a petigree like Jess's ????? Its almost too good to be true. jlp
I think the day Taco and Coz were born people were all ready saying who was better. I will wait to see them on the track to make my decision!! I love both of their Mama's~
Name is cute, where did they come up with it?
on June 17, Jess's Dream worked 3F at Stonestreet Training on Good Dirt in :40.00 b finishing 4/5.
Here he is... https://www.facebook.com/StonestreetFarms/photos/a.167965013243135.31426.106318256074478/756181761088121/?type=1&theater
  • Dressage3295 · He looks great. Slightly croup high, but that may change as he continues to grow. He's going to fill out to be a beautiful colt · 99 days ago
This will be the most highly anticipated debut for a horse ever when he first runs, so excited to see him run
Breezed 3 furlongs in 38.60 on 6/6/14 at Stonestreet Training LLC

  • Northport · Is the general consensus that he will go to Pletcher when the time comes? · 103 days ago
  • tcglory · when the time comes hes the one overseeing the training right now at stonestreet · 103 days ago
I wish they would update his Facebook page or something. I want to know when he's going to be racing and whatnot.

  • goblin · Stonestreet seems fairly conservative about publishing updates on "Taco". Curlin did not race until the age of three, but Rachel Alexandra had ~5 starts as a two year old; difficult to say at what age Jess's Dream/Taco will start. · 137 days ago
  • kay.robinett · You are right Goblin, Rachel did have starts at age two, but not Curlin. As well as Taco, his pasture mate Chili also looked like a well made youngster, so I would also like to hear about how he is doing. · 137 days ago
Look at this gorgeous boy... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=663602883660990&set=a.647072938647318.1073741826.112319645455986&type=1&theater

  • Sullivan · Is bred well, too, and has a TrueNicks variant of 103 (A++ is above 5 I believe), the highest I have seen since Afleet Alex. · 159 days ago
  • Dressage3295 · His pedigree is certainly eyecatching and like I said- beautiful colt. He should grow into himself nicely. We'll see how he turns out · 159 days ago
When will he run?
I think conformation just doesn't tell you what a horse can really do. To me, most thoroughbreds are not very "pretty". I think Andalusians are about the prettiest breed there is. Other people like Arabians. Others like Thoroughbreds. But the conformation desired for racing tends to be specific, and Man o' War had it. But look at Seabiscuit. He had it all wrong, but was one of the fastest horses to ever hit the dirt. I used to rub a horse who was considered quite unattractive, but if his trainer hadn't broken him(Yes, I'm bitter) Cryptic Skier, would have grown into a champion, no doubt. That said, I think Jess's Dream is a nice looking horse. With his pedigree, he has every advantage. It will all depend on his training and what's in that heart of his. I can't wait to see him run.
Wow.... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200512734365340&set=a.1088145728337.2013184.1367265764&type=1&theater
I'm guessing Jess's Dream and Cozmic One will go head to head in the Triple Crown, if not sooner.

  • amfuller · Have you seen the size of Cozmic One? Don't think we'll be seeing him anytime soon on the track. · 299 days ago
  • Buckpasser · Unfortunately, not many top race mares make top broodmares. Hopefully, these two will change that old adage. · 298 days ago
Jess's Dream has officially begun his training - http://www.stonestreetfarms.com/info/?page_id=144
  • goblin · Very nice, informative, entry on this Stonestreet page. The description of the box stalls and surveillance for the van ride are interesting, as is the fact that Ms. Banke is keeping Taco and Union Jackson together. · 342 days ago

  • Thepixiepoet · Is it my imagination, or is his hindquarter angulation too straight? I hope it is just the way he is standing. · 431 days ago
  • thepixiepoet · Hindquarters look a bit like his paternal grandpa Smart Strike. · 431 days ago
I uploaded a new picture of him. One that shows how much he has grown :D
Jess's Dream WILL be our next Triple Crown boy :)
