  • MichaelPavelick · Well this race made me look pretty silly. The winner had a workout probably 10 days or more before the race, albeit his past performances looked outstanding. My only horse who didn't scratch ran 2nd as a favorite. Considering if you look at the normal spacing of workouts in general they are usually 6-8 days apart. So if a workout is more then 5 days before the race, it leads me to think that the race is just a workout. Although 6 days probably falls in the "gray area" Kind of in between. · 119 days ago ·

  • icyhotboo · I don't think it make's you look silly to use a particular betting angle. I feel the more information a person has to work with the better the overall outcome. I have one angle myself that I rarely go against, if I can't see the horse just before the start I won't bet. My reasoning being that if I can't separate horses I like equally on paper they'll sort themselves out for me on the track by their actions, looks, etc. · 119 days ago ·
