  • Sysonby · Don't think he's capable of it. He also seems to think at the end of the horse's racing career, they get put away in their stalls like toys into a toybox. I believe most get to actually start being horses, particularly the mares, and get time on pasture and with other horses. · 12 days ago ·

coming out of training. on May 5, Jackson Bend worked 5F at Calder on Fast Dirt in 1:03.40 bg finishing 7/8.
Swept the Florida Stakes as a two year old, Runner up in Holy Bull, Wood Memorial and Fountain of Youth. Third in the Preakness. Won the Forego, Carter and Hals Hope. 8 Stakes victories and earned over 1.6 mil. What a great horse who is missed so much. Cheers to Jackson Bend! My all time Favorite.

  • mkstorm · Shack seems to run well at Churchill, but he has won only one race beyond a mile. He'll probably face stiffer competition in the Cigar Mile, but he's never ducked competition before. So I think he should try the Cigar Mile. He'd love to see him win his last race. · 181 days ago ·

Love this horse! I hope he has a happy retirement, he deserves it. He just wasn't the same horse this year, and that's okay. He ran his races, and he ran them well!! Enjoy your retirement JB!!!!

I don't know what it was..... There was something about Jackson that made him so lovable. And aware me if not correct: He is the only non absolute monster ever to steal racing fans heart. He wasn't the BEST horse, he was just naturally likable? He was so flexible. He was very easy going. He would listen to jocks. He was willing to race races out of his comfort zone. Like he came in third in the Preakness. Maybe it was his enormous heart? His flexibility? The fact he came from a less than stellar pedigree? He raced til age 5! Something about him, he really provided memories throughout his stellar and durable career. And I APPLAUD the connections for retiring him, it was time.

Maybe he should try a allowance race to get him back in shape.
Jackson Bend wasn't ready for the Forego-G1 after his training accident, therefore he should have been scratched.
I think he should retire, I love this horse but hes really struggling lately.
