  • blooy · psh nehor was a tough bastard, this was the extra room he needed, and the jockey really blew it, bad timing. you know he comes from out of the clouds not on turn, not sure what happend there. we saw it all the time down the strech near miss by nehro, then he makes the move on the turn, wait man, you fly on the strech. had they went on the strech, like animal kindom , could have been closer. but thats horse racing, guess a spoiler for the belmont? those closers all on timing, still congrats to him . · 736 days ago ·

So many people seemed to have jumped off even though he had a valid excuse I know some may have wanted a 6f move, however CD can be a tiring track, and it gets even worse when it is sloppy. Mo's time, considering the conditions was fairly quick and the stickiness probably allowed him to get more out of the work than he would going 5f over a fast track. · 758 days ago ·

  • dubby30 · Stay Thirsty & Nehro for me, if you want to match pedigree against pedigree hands down both are going to stay the 10f before Mo does 100/100 times, if you're going to match talent vs talent Mo wins 85/100 but in picking the best set of 4 horses to round out my super Mo does not fit after this speed inducing work. Pros for mo - Most talented 3 year old running. fastest beyer figures, great trainer, top jock.Cons for mo - Pedigree and distance concerns, coming off sickness, 0 Stamina Building works, Quirky Prep schedule with a 1 mile public workout and a 1 mile (although the race was 1 1/8th mile) prep at the Big A, Last thing going against him, 0 Stamina building works. One more thing, 0 Stamina building works. I said after the Wood, no matter what test results showed, I needed to see a nice 6f work that gave indication that he was fit and that they were trying to put stamina into his diet of works, His 5f move today did nothing but put more speed into the horse, and although I really really like the horse alot, off this move, which i thought needed to be either 6f or 7f, and then see a 4f blowout before the race, he is a toss for me. For me at least, if he beats me with that many Cons, and the type of cons that he has working against him, so be it. But I'll look elsewhere. · 758 days ago ·

The rest of these horses just aren't running that fast. Watch out for Sway Away; he's a horse that has natural speed and the breeding to take all the way. I wanted that to for a while to, but I think Zenyatta filled that desperateness for me. I know a lot of people say that she was a good mare, but not the best. but what she did for racing and what not, to me that shows a superhorse, and I do think she ranks up with there with the best mares, and best of all, thats what my gut tells me, so anyone who wants to get mad at me for what makes horse racing, keep it to yourselves...( with all do respect) . Like you said Speed figures don't lie, and there's not a star studded field lining up for the derby, but it's not lackluster.
