Has been retired and will stand at Arrowfield for the 2014 SH season

  • ILuvTurfRacing · @Northport, saw the article on-line earlier. It said he'll stand this spring at Arrowfield Stud for a fee of $27,500. · 1096 days ago
  • travel_vic · I am going to faint! More good horse names! · 1096 days ago
Great to see It's A Dundeel back in cracking form ... It's a Dundeel is back! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzEnWhjzoh8
  • yukichan · I'm a big fan of Chappie, as he is known. The Kiwis go 1-2 with Sacred Falls overtaking Charlton House. There was much talk of Chappie retiring to Arrowfield Stud after the QE Stakes, but now it seems Ascot fever might have taken hold. Brilliant race by James McDonald too. Though we could not see it, evidently Dundeel slipped on way to field, cutting his left hind, but was deemed fit to race. And race he did! · 1100 days ago
Much anticipated rematch between IAD and Atlantic Jewel in Saturday's Caulfield Stakes not to be as Chappy developed an abscess in his hoof last weekend and just recently burst. He is still cautiously pointed towards a Cox Plate start.
My most favoroite active NZ mate races against an all-star field this weekend in the Underwood Stakes at Caufield, including Atlantic Jewel wheeling back after her tantilizing victory last week. Can Chappy (It's A Dundeel) catch her in the last 200m? Is AJ suspect at this 1800m distance? And what about Puissance de Lune and last year's Melbourne Cup winner Green Moon, who also line up here? The Underwood is a Cox Plate trial with past 3 winners being Kiwis (Ocean Park, Lion Tamer and So You Think). Can Chappy make it a NZ four-peat? Head says AJ, heart says Chappy!

  • rafirox · This should be a terrific race. Gotta say Atlantic Jewel, though. Her last effort was just phenomenal. · 1312 days ago

In an Australian Battle Royale this morning, It's A Dundeel handed Atlantic Jewel her first career defeat ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVJknPTuYa8
Completely overshadowed by Black Caviar, lets not forget that my most favorite Kiwi is racing towards history tonight as he reaches for the 3rd jewel in the 3 yr old AUS Triple Crown. This son of High Chaparral, "Chappy" as he is known has already won the Randwick Guineas and Rosehill Guineas and needs the Derby. A win tonight in the Australian Derby would thrust him into an elite group of Triple Crown winners. Octagonal (1996) is the only winner of all three races since the Derby was shifted to autumn in 1979. Go Chappy!!

Congratulations to my other most favorite Kiwi, who desroyed'em in the second leg of of Sydney triple crown by winning the Rosehill Guineas over Sacred Falls tonight!
After adding blinkers, It's A Dundeel, known as "Chappie" takes the first leg of the AUS Triple Crown with his win today in the Royal Randwick Guineas (1600m)! He displayed his trademark turn of foot in the last couple of furlongs for the win over Proisir, with the favorite Rebel Cane in fourth. According to trainer Murray Baker, "He will be even better when he gets to 2000m for the Rosehill Guineas and 2400m for the (ATC Australian) Derby." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rxd795cCxRA
5 for 5 now with his scintillating run today in the g1 Spring Stakes (Randwick/AUS) over perviously unbeaten Proisir. Both youngsters displayed absolutely breathtaking turn of foot! For an OMG performance watch: http://www.racingnetwork.com.au/Vision/video_popout.aspx?mediaid=1009056
Unbeaten from his four starts including the Gloaming Stakes (1800m) two weeks ago, It's A Dundeel (NZ) faces his toughest competition yet when he meets (also unbeaten) Proisir in the G1 Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick (AUS). Remember the name... It's A Dundeel!
