What the Nation is saying about Interaction...

I didn't see the race, but I checked the equibase results and it said he won the 1 3/4 mile race in 2:44.89... Did the San Juan Capistrano start on the downhill course? This time just seems insanely fast. Congrats to the winner

  • travel_vic · Fast tracks are nothing new....in 1973 fully 15+ track records fell at Belmont. In the 1970's just about all sprinting world records were held between two ovals: Longacres and Turf Paradise.....It is not how fast they run, but HOW they run fast (distribution) that is important. MOST of these ultra-fast tracks are shifted to earlier energy distributions...If a horse shifts from a fast based to a slow based course (remember the old pharas horses for courses) it SHOWS...Often the Fall baby races in California come back to bite the participants when they ship East to the deeper ovals and they no longer have BOTH their speed and the surface in their favor. · 29 days ago ·

  • ILuvTurfRacing · @BrianZipse, he's a very progressive 3yo for sure, and he had real solid in the UK before Yvonne Jacques ever sent him to America to race. He's run some quality races at Goodwood, Epsom, Windsor, Newbury, and Ascot. He was 3rd behind the tough filly Lay Time in the G3 Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor just prior to coming stateside, and on ground that didn't suite him at all.
