From Buck Pond Farm : "I Want Revenge will be standing at our farm beginning next year(2014)." More info to follow, if they give me permission to repost it.

  • Mary Z. · No, I have the feeling that he won't have that many mares, although he does bring foreign breeding, especially from Argentina on the bottom, and he has no in-breeding through 5 generations, for those who study that. I don't; just reporting. I suppose the advertising could go that he had a grade 1 win and was stakes placed every year he ran. Then there are the negatives from the Derby morning injury on. · 726 days ago
  • Mary Z. · Should say he had one grade 1 win. Besides that, he was stakes placed in each year that he ran. Sorry about the original wording. · 726 days ago
Thanks to Mary Zinke's diligent searching, I Want Revenge has been "found." About a month ago he was sold to Doug Arnold and Ben Walden as a stallion prospect.
  • Mary Z. · Ashley, Thank you for reminding me to keep searching, and special thanks to Mr.Jeffrey Tucker who responded to an e-mail and inquired about I Want Revenge's whereabouts to one of his friends. To me the compelling part of I Want Revenge's story was that he was "on his way to wonderful" and got stopped in his tracks. Not only that but young Joe Talamo rushing downstairs that morning to the horrible news. I just wanted it all to work out the way so many thought it should have. · 752 days ago
  • Floridaf · Thanks again, Mary! It's such a relief to know what happened to this guy. · 751 days ago

does anyone have any idea where Revenge is now? IEAH will never comment.
I had no idea I Want Revenge was back after the scratch in the derby. I was to late on the news though because now he has retired.
Well, he's not coming back. He was retired today.

on the farm, which he sent?
He was scratched today, seconds before the Brian G. He was tacked up and ready to get in the starting gate. Anybody know whats up?

Well MayZ revenge deferred(for now). But he'll have a few crying in their beer, elbows in their spaghetti sauce. Going to see that the phrase "hope I don't get improper" stays in the HRN lexicon. Essential for many occasions.

Just when I had my hopes up to see a good stakes horse come to Charlestown, how can you enter the wrong trainer? http://www.drf.com/news/charles-town-dutrow-forced-scratch-i-want-revenge-thomas-got-even-now-favored

  • Mary Z. · What's the whole story behind the brother being listed as trainer for the Charles Town race? Mistake or was he to "stand in" just at that track? · 1223 days ago
  • likin sparks · @Mary from the way it looks, was a clerical error where the connections listed Tony as the trainer instead of his brother Richard. The stewards at CT scratched IWR due to this, I understand they're brothers but how could you forget which horse belongs to the trainer? Just imagine if this happened during the Derby or the Breeders Cup lmao! · 1223 days ago

Had a workout today at Aqueduct, 3f., 37.02
  • travel_vic · this poor animal. He should be eating grass out in pasture. One of the worst managed horses since Toccet. · 1321 days ago
  • Mary Z. · If you saw his Three Coins Up, then you know he can still run. I don't know the details of the long gaps in his race and workout schedule this past year. Not many of the US horses did well at all in Dubai, so in hindsight that may have been a mistake, but I'm still a faithful fan. Just remember his Wood Memorial. I do wish the kid would be back on him. That was a great team. I would say that his sale to IEAH is the reason why he was able to make a comeback at all, otherwise he would have been retired on Derby Day, '09. During his several Lazarus moments, he has shown that he is still competitive at 1 mile, which is the distance I hope he runs, but I'll cheer for him at any distance. Maybe he's just going for that little bit to put him over 1 mil, or another grade 1 win? · 1321 days ago
Rick Dutrow's been complaining that I Want Revenge didn't get an invite for this year's Dubai World Cup. LOL. He has absolutely no reason to complain, as the body of work that I Want Revenge has accomplished in 2010 is not anywhere near good enough to oust one of the other 14 horses who have been winning at Meydan, and in most cases, winning in their respective countries prior to going to Dubai. I Want Revenge hasn't won a race since the 2009 Wood Memorial. Franky, not only is he not good enough to be in the DWC, but I personally don't think he's good enough to win the Godolphin Mile either. Godolphin's, Skysurfers, will run him off of his feet on that tapeta surface. JMO.
  • bigbrown2332 · I think he fits in with the horses going into the Godolphin Mile. I didn't think he would run as good as he did in the Donn, and he ran great. He had a race, and has been working well. If Rick Dutrow wanted to point to the World Cup, he would only go if he thought he had a legit shot. He's been to Dubai before with Diamond Stripes, and they won. I want revenge has raced really well over the synthetics in California. I think he'll run good in Dubai. He ran super with some of the nations best in the Donn. · 1566 days ago
Headed to the $1,000,000 Godolphin Mile 3/26 @ Meydan. Dutrow wanted the World Cup, but the lack of an invite led him to this spot.
I want Revenge worked 6 furlongs in 1:13 and 3/5 at Gulfstream Park. He probably won't make it to an allowance race if he's going to the Donn Handicap.

  • blooy · he just had that late running style when he had the bad trip. · 1634 days ago
Not a fan of the owners, and they got way over ambitious with his first comeback...not sure if an allowance then jumping into the Donn is a smart move either.
  • humphrey · Owners don't change,,,,,,Predict same outcome a second time....Also I would be VERY cautious backing this one the first time out.....Mike Pizzolla might call the first one back a SNAIL: Shown Nothing After Its Layoff · 1655 days ago
