  • travel_vic · Cityscape has run with the better crowd and is very consistent, but RARELY do horses on the lead win this contest. If Polytrack was equivalent to the lawn, then 6 Hunte's Bay moves up tremdously, but that is not always the case. Mark my words at the end of the day, the Irish Breds will make names for themselves as they always do on that VERY LONG stretch. · 580 days ago ·

  • VisionandVerse · In the last 41 years, only 12 3 year olds have been able to win Horse of the Year. That's a strong proof that older horses are typically stronger. Prime example Bernardini was brilliant his 3 yo campaign and could not handle Invasor who was coming off a 2 month layoff in the Classic. · 622 days ago ·
Fort Larned captured his first Grade 1 race on Saturday and earned a trip to the Breeders’ Cup Classic as he held on for a 1 ¼-length victory over favored Ron the Greek in the $750,000 Whitney Invitational Handicap at Saratoga Race Course.Read More
Last time I checked RTG beat some top GR1 horses in his GR1 wins. YES the SF/Whitney are equal to the two classics. They just happen to be major races for older horses.
  • UnionRagsRules · I like RTG he looks very probable for the win in his next G1 race · 625 days ago ·
  • CraigBradshaw · they are not equal as far as hyperbole goes, but you can rest assured that the horses entered are more experienced. · 625 days ago ·

What if the best 3-year-old in Todd Pletcher's barn isn't Super Saver? It's fair to wonder after watching second-time starter Hunters Bay (6th, $11.80) lead five others a merry chase in 1:41.08 for 1 1/16 miles out of the chute.
