I've seen this horse at Canterbury in person. He's something else.

The King of Canterbury reigns supreme in the Crocrock Minnesota Sprint Championship Stakes.
Nice horse. I'd like to see what he does against real competition... Impressive 7-7.

  • travel_vic · I followed Hallowed Dreams right about the time of her demise and predicted she was about to get beaten by risning % median and dropping total energy...She did two races later. · 585 days ago
  • LAZMANNICK · Good call. She was worn out at that point too. In the Valid Expectations that year she carried 117 and finished 3rd in 1.10 2/5. Hattiesburg, a G3 winner and 3rd in her preceding race, the G1 Humana Distaff, finished second. The year before, Hallowed Dreams won the Valid Expectations carrying 123 and running it in 1.08 1/5. Clearly, she wasn’t the same horse as she was on a three race losing streak. · 585 days ago
He's going for his 7th straight win on Saturday in the 10,000 Lake Stakes.
a touch to much Native Dancer inbreeding lucky hes gelded
This is so dumb how he is rated. Winning stakes at Cby, isn't that impressive. That is equal to Belmont or Saratoga allowance races. He is rated above horses who are way better than him. Put him in a G3 at Belmont, watch get hammered. People who consider this horse G1 caliber are completely insane....

I agree...needs to win against graded competition
In my opinion this colt is a bit overrated. I get that he's undefeated in six starts but he's never won a graded stakes. If he's really as great as everyone's saying i think he should leave Canterbury Park and go take on some new competition. Some of the horses rated further down on this list, like Dullahan and Trinniberg for example, have competed at the higher levels of racing and are better than Heliskier. All six of his wins were powerful and impressive but i believe he should take on a graded stakes so we can see how good he really is.
Thanks to everyone who talked about this magnificent horse! I just watched him destroy the Minnesota Derby field and cannot wait to watch him again! A Sight to be seen!!!

  • loran53@hotmail.com · Footlick, I don't think Canterbury's times are that much different. Heliskier won an allowance race this year at 6 furlongs in 1:08.94. Nothing slow about that! · 863 days ago
Will win again this weekend! making him 6 for 6!
Why isn't he in the "Undefeated Watch" list? He is 5 for 5.

  • shores · Thank you!! I have been waiting for both these colts to be on the list for a while; I expect great things from them. · 876 days ago
Saw him win the MTA Stallion Auction Laddie today at Canterbury. The fact that he is a MN bred and is getting BSF of 90, being hand ridden to a combined 35 length victory in all starts and doesn't even break a sweat, he has no competition in MN. What an amazing horse.

  • AfterHours · Getting to see him in person today felt like I was seeing one of the more well known horses, like seeing Bode or Game On Dude (not that I'm comparing his talent to theirs). It was the closest I'll get to see a horse that good in person for awhile! Even physically, he is a monster! · 886 days ago
  • zatt · I am a big fan ... can't wait to see him up there soon! · 886 days ago
