Amazombie – The defending champion in the $1.5 million Xpressbet Breeders' Cup Sprint was put through what amounted to a faster-than-usual gallop on Thursday morning under exercise rider Javier Meza that trainer Bill Spawr likened to the one or two days before the 2011 Sprint at Churchill Downs. "He...Read More
Amazombie – On Halloween morning, Amazombie rose from the straw (of his stall) and proceeded out into the predawn fog. A scene dramatic enough for the opener of a horror film. • Averie Elizabeth · I believe Shack is going to do very well. I have one of those feelings that he's going to do good. His two starts at Saratoga are bad examples to base a theory that he doesn't like the track. The Travers was a race a couple furlongs too long for him and he was much less developed as a racehorse. This year he's a completely different horse and all the year better. In the Vanderbilt he couldn't handle the mud. He's not a mud horse and he has always performed far lesser his best when it comes to off tracks. This weekend it's not supposed to rain and it's a comfortable distance for him. I believe he can overtake all of the horses in the rest of the field. Emcee in my opinion is going to be his biggest competitior but he's more of a six furlong horse. As for Jackson Bend he always has a good chance but he's not nearly the horse he used to be. I think Shackleford is going to do fairly well this weekend and i wish him the best of luck and a safe trip from his biggest fan. · 264 days ago ·
