What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about Giacomo...

The art of Zen allows one to tap into an inner calm while crisis ensues all around. Of course, it is almost impossible to recreate chaos, so Zen must be practiced in more peaceful times. For our Kentucky Derby purposes this means measuring one’s self in small, weekly increments known as “the Derby p...Read More

  • ScottBowerman · It will all come down to the trip in a 20 horse field. To much emphasis on the horse and not the Jock. I try not to pay to much attentin to how a horse acts prior to a race unless they are mine and I know how they act normally. I left out Shakleford on my super ticket after getting sucked into the washing out story last year. It is hard enough with all the printed info and numbers assigned to each past race to digest only to have the final grade or body of work to be determined by a pre race Dr Phil and Dr Oz segment. I do agree with watchinghow they warm up on the track as that is different. · 57 days ago ·

  • blooy · psh nehor was a tough bastard, this was the extra room he needed, and the jockey really blew it, bad timing. you know he comes from out of the clouds not on turn, not sure what happend there. we saw it all the time down the strech near miss by nehro, then he makes the move on the turn, wait man, you fly on the strech. had they went on the strech, like animal kindom , could have been closer. but thats horse racing, guess a spoiler for the belmont? those closers all on timing, still congrats to him . · 373 days ago ·

  • fab5kevy · I wish more people in your position would hammer this concept home. I am T-I-Red of hearing people talk of why we haven't had a TC winner in 32 years. They have even gone as far as commenting on changing the brutal schedule of the TC races.....BLASPHEMY!! It is an absolute shame Lookin At Lucky did not get a "reasonable" chance to win the Derby. I know the sport is trying to get more attention....but come on.....is it that hard to figure out that decreasing the size of the Derby field, brings a better chance at allowing a great horse to show his (o.k.- or her) colors?? This is what the sport needs....and it's not about making it easier! Thanks Bill...keep up the good work! · 616 days ago ·
