What the Nation is saying about Genuine Risk...

Smarty Jones won the Preakness Stakes by 11 1/2 lengths, the largest winning margin in the 129-year history of the event.Read More
My favorite filly of all time. Her run in the Kentucky Derby was incredible to watch, as were her Preakness and Belmont runs, even if she didn't win.
When people ask me what my favorite Kentucky Derby was, I always respond with the 1990 edition won by Unbridled. It was my most memorable for several personal reasons: It was my first Kentucky Derby in person, I was a big fan of the strapping son of Fappiano, I talked many of my college buddies into...Read More

Many racing fans are prepared to state emphatically that Zenyatta and Rachel Alexandra are two of the best, if not THE best, fillies of the past half-century. The list from which to chose, however, is longer than most think. Below is a reminder just how extensive that list is. With almost half the y...Read More

  • New York Vinnie · cocoa2 - many will never forget Landaluce. Me included. She was a sweet, black coated two year old filly out of Seattle Slew that captivated the west, having won five races by almost 50 lengths. She won her first race in 1:08 then came back a week later and won a Grade 1 race by 21 lengths in 1:08:1. Her last three races as a two year included race run in 1:21, 1:35 and 1:41. Uncle Mo, on the other hand, ran a 1:34.6 and and 1:42 in a mile and a mile and a sixteenth, and was considered the second coming of Spectacular Bid and Seattle Slew. Landaluce will never be forgotten. · 113 days ago ·
