  • rita.polander · I believe Oxbow has a big shot to hit the board. He could even win. He will be forwardly placed, thats for sure. Deep closers usually don't fare well in the Belmont. Palice Malice should be in the first flight of horses, stalking the pacesetters. Palice has a good pedigree and jockey, I don't believe he will fade,he has a big chance to win. Golden Soul and Revolutionary will be running late and could pick up the pieces. Overanalyze could be in the mix. Giant Finish has a killer pedigree, has tactical speed, and will be overlooked, could easily hit the board. That's my top 6, hope I win. · 15 days ago ·

  • Mike in SB · It is interesting that the best sons of Awesome Again seem to be front running horses, I saw Awesome Again run a couple of times and I remember him as more of a closer. He was tough, and his offspring are also tough and can run the Classic distances. Racing needs more stallions like Awesome Again. I think Oxbow will run well in the Belmont and will be hard to catch, but I still think Orb is the best 3 year old this year and is going to rebound in the Belmont. · 14 days ago ·

I took a look at the two year old offspring of top sires in 2001 and 2002 to see what kind of correlations in performance existed betwen the two crops. Due to a lack of detailed data, the results were inconclusive, but still somewhat interesting.Read More
