Pulled up in the Prevue...does not look good for him. So Brilliant was indeed brilliant. Don't know what the heck happened to my choice Empire Way, maybe too quick a turn around?

  • Mary Z. · Why not? He didn't work that hard to get his maiden win. I read all these comments about 2yos, all horses really, not racing as often as they used to, so what's wrong with this late starting 1/2 to RD running 11 days after his last race? Workouts are more frequent than that. I hope he handles the move up. If he bucks his shins, you can blame me. It'll be all my fault. · 882 days ago ·

Galex owns the only black type in two generations of his female family, but he has inbreeding to the blue hen Weekend Surprise through her sons A.P. Indy (sire of Flatter) and Summer Squall (sire of Othello). BC Classic champ Stevie Wonderboy has the same inbreeding.
