On May 27, Freedom Child breezed 5F in 59:87 (5/28) at Belmont Park.
Why was Jockey Saez cracking the whip on him when he was so far ahead?? There was no need for that. To win by that many lengths can take a lot out of a horse. Let's hope the pressure from Saez won't put him at an energy disadvantage in the Belmont.Belmont

Holy Crap! Now that's a romp in the mud and it was under a hand ride!

  • rafirox · All me comments? Hmm... Out of all my posts today, I saw TWO out of how many mentioning his name. "saying something does not mean it is so"... LMAO. What I said was 100% correct. You rarely pick winners, you have no logic while handicapping, and yet you are "scared" at how Jmac assesses a race? How about your GREAT assessment of the Big Cap where you picked Handsome Mike? Or when you picked Tour Guide in the Derby Trial? Or when you picked Caixa Electronica in the Charles Town Classic? Or when you picked Mylute in the Risen Star? Or when you picked Dirty Swagg in the Santa Anita Derby? Or when you picked Oxbow in the Arkansas Derby? Or when you picked against Verrazano in the Wood? The list goes on and on and on and on. I'm not getting in a chilidish, immature argument with you>>> Good day. · 1416 days ago
  • Sullivan · I'm flattered you remember so much about me. Never did I say I was a good handicapper, I frequently throw out picks in favor of long shots. I always root for the under dog. I said assessing races. Do you know what that is? Jmac was impressed by Freedom Child being hand ridden... a hard hand ride is as good as light whipping · 1416 days ago
What do you all think of this colt? To me he looked like a guy who was starting to figure it out, until the Wood. He was beat at the break. Awful start for him, 5 wide on the first turn, and fighting his jockey almost the entire race, and a premature move on the backside. I'm not saying he would of won. Not at all. Maybe in the exotics in the Peter Pan with a clean break, and a better trip?

  • jmac500 · I think if it was on a dry surface and he won by that much I'd give it more weight. · 1416 days ago
  • Cocoa · Alone on the lead and on a muddy track... what did you expect him to do? Mud = deep = favors speed, and alone on the lead too? Nice pick, btw, Sunday SIlence. · 1416 days ago
