Why does everybody outside of racing focus on the bad of it and not the good? Its insane! Its much more good than bad. Such a tragety to lose this horse, but why focus on the bad and count out the good? Its like if we racing folk all of a sudden turned against NFL football and only pointed out that the players get hurt uselessly. Ignorant, right?

  • kedez2012 · Agreed, cocoa--ACCIDENTS happen! This was a FREAK ACCIDENT. Everyone is so willing to focus on the BAD of racing of they they completely over look the good! I feel for Fox Hunt--that was just tragic--but can't we also celebrate Daddy Long Legs? Can't we look forward to Game on Dude, Royal Delta, and So You Think? For every sad moment there are thousands that bring joy to the fans and connections. Racing won't end just because of an unfortunate accident like this. · 415 days ago ·

  • Armada · @Junebug. It is a true tragedy to lose this horse. But I highly doubt this is the end of racing. I'm sure the media will have a heyday spitting out every bad comment they have about racing, busy focusing on the downsides instead of the countless upsides. As it almost always has been. But the end? I seriously doubt it. How often do you see weird, freak accidents such as this? Rarely. And horses, racehorses or not, break down sometimes. :/ · 415 days ago ·

A real tragedy to lose this horse. Fox Hunt really and truly was starting to come into his own as one of the premier stayers in Europe. I had initially thought he had just clipped heals with another horse, and would probably get right back up? But Pat Cummings from DubaiRaceNight.com told TVG that Fox Hunt had broken his right front leg. Such a tragedy.
