What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about Fox Hunt...

Fox Hunt

Why does everybody outside of racing focus on the bad of it and not the good? Its insane! Its much more good than bad. Such a tragety to lose this horse, but why focus on the bad and count out the good? Its like if we racing folk all of a sudden turned against NFL football and only pointed out that the players get hurt uselessly. Ignorant, right?

HorseDynasty · I would hope that HRN is a place where the more experienced/knowledgeable can comment to the less experienced/less knowledgable in a civil manner that garners respect for those trying to pass on information to those who may be new to the sport or know less, rather than outright name calling and calling comments baloney. ljkeel, however, if you do not want your comments to be taken seriously then admit to being a troll and put it on your profile. It is impossible to say exactly what caused the breakdown, and most likely is a mutiple issue. Is inbreeding a problem? Yes can be. If you look at Krypton Factor he is inbreed, luckly gelded. However, horses that are "well breed" break down as well. · 56 days ago ·

HorseDynasty · ljkeel, some breeders will use "line breeding" which is a form of inbreeding that is more accepted and occurs when the same lineage is found in the fourth generation I believe, and further back. · 56 days ago ·

They are VERY knowledgable, and getting into an agrument with them is something that you will win 1 time out of every 20. They know a lot about this sport, as most of them have experienced it first hand. And cocoa2 is right. This site is a site of elite handicappers and people with elite knowlegde on this sport( I love using the word elite :)..) so I would try my best to stay outta their ways of stuff they know well · 56 days ago ·

This site is going to have people with different levels of knowledge, it is my hope that those who know less and want to learn are driven away simply because they are made to feel "bad" right from the get go off a comment simply because they may not have the experience or knowledge. Armada · @Junebug. It is a true tragedy to lose this horse. But I highly doubt this is the end of racing. I'm sure the media will have a heyday spitting out every bad comment they have about racing, busy focusing on the downsides instead of the countless upsides. As it almost always has been. But the end? I seriously doubt it. How often do you see weird, freak accidents such as this? Rarely. And horses, racehorses or not, break down sometimes. :/ · 56 days ago ·

Fox Hunt

A real tragedy to lose this horse. Fox Hunt really and truly was starting to come into his own as one of the premier stayers in Europe. I had initially thought he had just clipped heals with another horse, and would probably get right back up? But Pat Cummings from DubaiRaceNight.com told TVG that Fox Hunt had broken his right front leg. Such a tragedy.
