Forty tales defeated my favorite horse Declan's Warrior twice! When is this monster gonna run again?
Retired and will stand at Sequel Stallions in NY.
  • Northport · Any word on if he was injured? I can't see a ton of appeal for him as a stallion · 1196 days ago
  • SSilence86 · No word. His fee will be 6,500. · 1196 days ago

That's my boy!
The more I see him run, the more I love this horse. WOW.
Looked good again and just wow.

  • Sullivan · I am interested in seeing Goldencents at 7f, but I agree a mile might be more of his forte. Doesn't matter what caliber he is, there aren't really any G1 dirt mile events on the west coast anyway. I won't judge what Shanghai Bobby is, too many unknowns. I like Merit Man and I expect him to do a little better than his last performance. As for Capo Bastone, I hope he spends some time at Arlington. I've liked Declan's Warrior for a little now, how could I not? Have you seen his coat? Yes, there are a few good ones in the crop. Really, I don't mind all these sprinters. They're fun to watch, just not at Suffolk. · 1344 days ago
  • rafirox · I don't mind these good sprinters, either. The sprinting contigent beats last year's, I'd say, which was mediocre. Besides Trinniberg and Fort Loudon, the group was weak. However, this year we have some very nice ones. Declan's Warrior is a very fun colt, who I've bet on three times I think. My favorite is Forty Tales. I also saw one in person- Zee Bros. I'm quite puzzled what to make of him, he doesn't show up on a consistent basis. With Declan's Warrior and Forty Tales challenging 2012 Champion Trinniberg, the gutsy gelding Comma to the Top and the Zayat's pair of Fast Bullet and Justin Phillip, this could be a very fun Breeder's Cup Sprint. Not to mention, Kauai Katie amongst others on the female division. This year's crop is lacking a huge star and this crop is average, but we do have four solid routers: Oxbow, Orb, Palace Malice and Mylute. The second-tier runners like Normandy Invasion, Verrazano, Revolutionary and Itsmyluckyday aren't so bad either. · 1344 days ago
Totally called this race. I don't bet, but I would have hit the trifecta. First race of the day I got all three.
Okay, who are we kidding? What more do you want? Here is your 3 year old sprinter
I'm anxious to see his next race . I'm also waiting to see My Name is Michael run for the 2nd time on dirt after running 3rd and closing a lot of ground and finishing 3rd in the Sam Davis
another 10 feet he would of won. Closed from way back. Very impressive

  • jay s. · I've always loved the horse that makes a big, late run, and got some wins on them. But, after joining this site and reading what travel_vic has posted about closers, one realism brutally punched me in the head. As I look back, the OVERWHELMING majority of the time my closer just needed 10 more feet, one more stride, room down the lane, started his kick one second earlier. I went to the track two weeks ago and discounted ALL big closers. None of them made me pay. · 1512 days ago
  • travel_vic · Babies have styles all over the place that usually "calm down" a bit late in their 3 y/o season. MOST start out earlier and then get later as they mature..There are always exceptions, but definite style, once attained, is usually a horse's default position and the range is fairly narrow for 90% (not stakes stars) of them. Since I play more in the cheapies where odds are better, maybe I see this more often than the next person. · 1512 days ago
