What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about Euroears...

Amazombie, the champion sprinter of 2011, was scratched from Saturday’s $200,000 Palos Verdes Stakes at Santa Anita after rain fell early in the day.  Trainer Bill Spawr said repeatedly in the build-up to the Grade 2 Palos Verdes that he was reluctant to start Amazombie if considerable rain fel...Read More
While the focus is on Breeders’ Cup Sprint champion Amazombie and his scheduled 2012 debut in Saturday’s Grade II Palos Verdes Stakes, others in the field of eight going six furlongs for a guaranteed purse of $150,000 are on the back burner, relatively speaking.  Two such steeds are Euroears an...Read More
Recently named sprint champion Amazombie is back in action on Saturday at Santa Anita Park. Read More
Millionaire and grade I-winning sprinter Euroears, has been retired from racing and will begin his stud career in 2012 at JEH Stallion Station's Oklahoma Division near Wynnewood, Okla. His fee has been set at $4,500.   Campaigned by Jim and Marilyn Helzer of JEH, 7-year-old Euroears won or plac...Read More

Pacific Ocean was a powerful winner in his first start for new connections, easily capturing the $100,000 Vernon O. Underwood Stakes.   Purchased privately by Dennis Narlinger’s JMJ Racing Stables LLC and transferred to the barn of Mike Mitchell, the 4-year-old gelding showed surprising speed (...Read More
Saturday’s Pick 6 from Hollywood Park includes two graded races. First up is the G3 Vernon O. Underwood (6th race) for 3-year-olds and up dashing six furlongs on Cushion Track. Morning line favorite Euroears has flopped in two straight and horses exiting the Breeders’ Cup have been disappointing all...Read More
Hall of Fame trainer, Bob Baffert entered a trio – Euroears, Irrefutable and Quiet Invader – in the Underwood, a race he hasn’t won since 1992 (Gundaghia). This is scheduled to be the second-to-last start of Euroears’ career. The 7-year-old son of Langfuhr and the Heff mare Unky and Ally will be try...Read More
Breeders’ Cup 2011 was largely forgettable for trainer Bob Baffert, whose nine starters produced a Juvenile Sprint win by odds-on Secret Circle and a runner-up finish by 14-1 outsider Game On Dude in the Classic. They were the only Baffert runners to hit the board in the Breeders’ Cup.Based on odds,...Read More
Don’t look now, but it’s that time…no, not Halloween, that is over. No, Not Thanksgiving, we still have a few more weeks to go. People, its Breeders Cup time!!! That means world class racing, big time rivalries, dynamic performance, and best of all handicapping galore for bettors! Read More
Big Drama, last year's Breeders' Cup Sprint winner at Churchill Downs, hopes history repeats itself in Saturday's renewal. The David Fawkes trainee has only run twice since winning the 2010 Sprint. He easily captured the G3 Mr. Prospector in his January return at Gulfstream and did not resurface unt...Read More

  • Waya · I love this horse, and I love him in the Sprint. Get ready to cash you tickets! · 900 days ago ·
  • ruhlmann · I also like Jackson Bend in the BCSprint. Hopefully his 0 for 2 record at CD is nothing to worry about. If he runs with that burst like he did in the Forego & Jms Marvin he will be very very tough to beat. There should be plenty of pace to run at, with Euroears & Giant Ryan. · 900 days ago ·
The Factor, one of trainer Bob Baffert’s leading hopes for the Breeders’ Cup, zoomed seven furlongs in 1:22.20 at Santa Anita on Tuesday morning. Baffert said over the weekend that The Factor would be pre-entered for the BC Sprint and the BC Dirt Mile. The Hall of Fame trainer may have as many as 10...Read More
The Kentucky Derby is America’s race, but in the eyes of Bob Baffert, who has won the Run for the Roses three times, the Breeders’ Cup is an inspirational and motivating event that has the potential to attract new blood and new bucks in an industry that sorely needs both. Baffert should know. He has...Read More
  • Protagonist · Good Luck at the Bc,to Team Baffert! January is a Wonderful time to Celebrate ones Birthday! Yours is 1/13,mine 1/9 ,Best of Luck ! · 901 days ago ·
  • Forego139 · I real excited for Baffert and his team of horse's, they are all doing well and anytime the money is laid out Baffert alsways seem to find a way to win it, so I do expect big things from the Baffert team at the B.C. , I just curious as to why he is keeping Juvenile Drill hush hush, IMO I think Drill has the makings of Something Special and we'll see what he's got on Sat. GO TEMA BAFFERT !!!!!! · 901 days ago ·
Worked at Santa Anita today burning up the track at 5f in :56.60, also Game On Dude at :58.60 same distance
Irrefutable, who closed well at 6-1 to finish second behind victorious Amazombie in Saturday’s Grade I Ancient Title Stakes at six furlongs, beating 2-5 favorite The Factor in the process, might have earned himself a spot in the Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs on Nov. 5, Bob Baffert said Sunday mor...Read More
  • Capper · On Williamhill.com Big Drama is still 7/2, while The Factor is 5-1 & Trappe Shot is 7-1. That's pretty interesting to me. · 914 days ago ·
Adorning the exterior walls of trainer Bob Baffert’s headquarters in Santa Anita are hand-painted wooden signs honoring the stable’s champions and major stakes winners. Outside of one of his two barns, a large sign lists Baffert’s 15 champions, and another honors 2002 Kentucky Derby winner War Emble...Read More
Euroears breezed four furlongs in :48.4 under jockey Martin Garcia on Santa Anita's main track Monday in preparation for the Breeders' Cup Sprint on Nov. 5 at Churchill Downs. Trainer Bob Baffert said he was happy with the way Eurorears went. Judging by the way he came trotting home...Read More
The Belmont Park stewards suspended jockey Rajiv Maragh seven days for careless riding aboard Calibrachoa coming out of the gate in Saturday’s Grade 1, $350,000 Vosburgh Invitational.Maragh has appealed the suspension and will be permitted to ride until a hearing is held. A few strides out of the ga...Read More
  • MableRoberts1 · As the rest of the article says... " This was the second time that the stewards suspended Maragh for a gate infraction in a major race. In the Belmont Stakes, Maragh was suspended for allowing Isn’t He Perfect to come over on Mucho Macho Man, who in turn squeezed Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom came out of the Belmont with a leg fracture and has been sidelined the remainder of the year." He ruined a 3 year old campaign that I would say "WOULD" have been electric for Animal Kingdom. For Animal Kingdom to finish 2nd in the Belmont after such a disaster is remarkable. I know he would have obliterated Uncle Mo, Stay Thirsty, and all of the other 3 year old colts this year. He has serious attitude, a want for the win, and could pick them off one by one! I guess I find it hard to forgive Rijiv, especially after this. · 928 days ago ·
