  • mike · Musket Man , welcome back... I hope after Saturday your connections are looking at the classic rather than the mile.. Horses you destroy are coming back and winning major races all over the country... QR is vulnerable at 1 1/4 ...Blame proved this weekend without you going after QR in the Whitney he and his perfect trip would never have gotten QR...He couldnt even get close to Haynesfield...And Derek Ryans comments after the Whitney were obviously on the money...Asmussen and Dominguez were riding the Whitney in awe of QR..Your connections had the balls to take it to QR like you do every race your in and thats what makes you the great horse you truly are...Hopefully Saturday goes well and off to Churchill you go for a meeting With Zenyatta... WELCOME BACK MUSKET MAN.... show the world you really are the man..... · 1290 days ago ·

  • cugel the clever · Musket Man is an inspiration. Gives 110% every single race. He may not be #1 in talent but he's got more guts and determination and will to win than any other major stakes player currently running. I hope he runs in the Classic. He'd be an outsider but not an impossible winner if he gives his usual best and the prima donnas are having a bad day. · 1290 days ago ·

Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin will be represented in next Saturday’s Grade 1, $750,000 Jockey Club Gold Cup, but exactly who will run is yet to be determined.   Darley Stables’ Tranquil Manner, most recently third to Quality Road and Mythical Power in the Grade 1 Woodward at Saratoga on September ...Read More
Darley Stable’s Etched made his 2010 debut a winning one, drawing off to a one-length score in the $75,000 Formal Gold Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday. They call it a handicap, but not because of post positions, for crying out loud. And yet here's Einstein being asked not only to carry high weight of 123 pounds Friday in the 135th Clark Handicap, but to start from the outside in post 14 of the Churchill Downs starting gate. "What can you do?" asked...Read More

  • Rossington · Devanni, yes that was said about Einstein. Before the Classic it was being stated that this would most likely be Einstein's last race. But I don't think his connection's counted on an 11th place finish in the Classic. I, for one, am personally glad that they're giving this great champion one more shot at going out with glory. And against a pretty competitive field in Misrembered, Bullsbay, Macho Again, Giant Oak, and Furthest Land. All the best to Einstein. I'll surely be sentimentally rooting for him to win the Clark Handicap. · 1610 days ago ·

Having just watched the replay of the Meadowland's Cup, I thought coming into the last turn that Cool Coal Man was possibly poised to make a big run, but when they came off of the turn Etched really exploded off of it and on through the stretch. He's scheduled to run next in the Clark Handicap in late November at Churchill Downs. A race that will also field Breeders Cup dropout Misremembered.
