  • travel_vic · the standardbred community has much more exotic equipment to do the same thing: one that is particularly interesting is a device akin to putting plastic straws perpendicular to the upper circumference of a large shadow roll so the animal has a blocked view at multiple slots ahead and keeps them going forward and not looking at the competition moving up along side of it....Innovative and effective · 2 days ago ·

  • travel_vic · Forty Niner would have had a say that next year had it not been for the most incompetent ride I have, in all seriousness, EVERy witness when Julie Krone took the almost need to lead Forty Niner off the pace and down by the rail (WHERE no horse save Gulch had moved up all day.) we will never know, but I'll bet several dozen other riders would have not put in such an incompetent move. · 25 days ago ·

is she skipping the oaks and going to the susan?..if so y?
  • Floridaf · Emollient is skipping the Oaks and headed to the Susan. Though Mott did not explain his full reasoning for the decision, it partly had to do with the fact that she ran in the GP Oaks and then wheeled back a week later to run in the Ashland. If she were to run in the Oaks, then that would have been her third big race in 5 weeks. · 27 days ago ·

If not for a race seven days earlier, Emollient would have been considered one of the most promising three-year-old fillies in the nation, and a big favorite in yesterday’s feature at Keeneland. What a difference a week makes. Rebounding from a 30 length drubbing at the hands of a spectacular perfor...Read More
