  • The Doctor · Pletcher will probably keep them separated most of the year. but with the princess not going to santa anita for the breeders cup i expect tap will send julia there. she has already ran pretty well there. · 2 days ago ·

Dreaming of Julia is back! 3F at Stonestreet on Good Dirt in :39.00 b (5/5)
When is this beautiful girl returning? And Kuai Katie?
I just loved the Stonerstreet duo of Dreaming of Julia and Kauai Katie on 2012 and 2013, i hope they both come back so that Kauai Katie gets finally her Grade 1 win and Dreaming of Julia proves that she is a top filly, i think she will win the BC Distaff next year, shes that good

  • tmallios1 · Dressage, why is it that every horse you like always has an excuse when they lose,if not an excuse, they ran competetive.Yet when other horses lose,it is counted against them.DOJ is a very fast horse.Unfortunately she was more hype than substance. I ask you about the Oaks, did you not see POS get snapped in half at the gate, she dropped back to last, blew by DOJ and all other fillies against the bias and won the race. But i guess not,you were to busy following DOJ and her take up at the gate. Great horses overcome adversity.POS did just that. · 156 days ago ·

  • Dressage3295 · I give credit when credit is due and I point out things that played a factor in the horses that I like losing- just like any normal fan would. They are not excuses because I NEVER have said "beyond a shadow of a doubt they would have won if....." The Oaks was a bad start for a lot of the fillies. Personally, I believe DOJ bore the brunt of it when Rose to Gold simply CATIPULTED into her. She was "snapped in half" also. Yes POS did come out on top and I recongnize her accomplishment- she's a good filly. I'm not sure if DOJ would or world have not won that day had she had a decent start with a position to her liking. No one will. Now back to her Mother Goose. It's not an excuse, merely an explanation. If you re-watch the race, you would see that DOJ did not even make an attempt to run until she was outside of horses. I consider myself to be able to read horses pretty well and her performance there suggested to me that she was expe Now once again, I do not know if she would have won or not that day had she been her normal self, but I believe we would have seen a better effort on her part. I simply love the way you put words in my mouth. I never claimed DOJ to be great or even the best of her crop. She is a very solid filly who shows great promise. · 156 days ago ·

  • EP Taylor · To bad MMM had such a rough start to the year, between getting sick at Gulfstream, and then a quarter Crack when he shipped north, which forcedthe connections to skip the Foster and run an overnight stakes. A solid return run in the Whitney, and then two fantastic runs at SA to close out the year. Wise Dan will win HOTY and Older male and rightfully so. Just so happy big Mooch got it done though. I am still on cloud 9 from that race · 162 days ago ·

  • lasorgen · Well deserved win for Mucho Macho Man! But why no mention of Goldencents scintillating win in the Dirt Mile? Rafa Bejarano without a doubt had the best trip of the weekend, getting Goldencents into 2nd after breaking from the 12 spot. Really looking forward to seeing that colt in his 4th year... · 161 days ago ·

Fiftyshadesofhay is not the best filly in the country. Princess of Sylmar holds that distinction, with Beholder and Close Hatches being the ones nipping at her heels. I guess you could say that leaves the Mike Pegram and partners filly as a second-flighter. Let me tell you, as far as second-flighter...Read More
  • ekindy · I didn't give Fiftyshadesofhay her due because I didn't think she'd get the distance in the Alabama. That cost me a more than a few bucks. I think she is very solidly the third best 3 YO filly in an excellent class this year. She travels well too, that's a huge plus. Because of that she's going to get a Grade I as a four year old somewhere along the line. · 193 days ago ·

You never heard of me, mallios? Why I'm only the greatest 200 lb. jockey that ever lived.
Along with her stable mate kauai katie they are getting a vaction and will be back at 4
And another thing. DOJ received the highest figure ever assigned by the sheets guy. So the talent is there. Horses freak all the time but no horse has ever freaked like she did in the GP Oaks. It's just not in them. But it's in her and it's up to Pletcher to get it out of her again. If she ever runs again that is.
well she did run almost 2 seconds faster than the boys did in the Florida derby. I guess none of them could find that rail bias. And that race was before Velasquez had his spill. maybe it's him who is reluctant to go through the tight spots. I don't think he's been the same since, anyway.
  • travel_vic · SHortest distance from gate to wire is WHERE? On the rail.....Running several feet shorter DOES have a tendency to make yoiur finish a tad higher through nothing else but placement not bias. · 243 days ago ·
