  • MarcelloMarocco · Frankel won 4 Group 1's(vs the BEST at this distance) and a Group 3 at the start of the year. Dross won one GR1 and a Listed stakes......but also finished behind ( A sprinter) Jackson's bend in the GR3 Skip away....this horse is not of the same Caliber. Frankel beat how many multiple GR1 winners?.......beating a sorry Dirt field in the last Classic doesn't propel you to the top... · 109 days ago ·

  • RedRoan · No need to race again?? How about to prove himself further? I would question a horse that runs that little, not just Dream Ahead, but others that have done the same as well. His stud fee also seems a little high for a lightly proven horse. I would rather see a horse that has a longer career with some losses, than a short career with several wins. · 220 days ago ·

  • Winplacsho · I think Goldikova is better around 2 turns too. Plus, she gets a better pace to run at in the USA. In Europe, she is normally very close to the pace because its so slow. Also, in the Prix De la Foret it seemed as she made the lead too soon while Dream Ahead was allowed to buy his time along the outside. She gave a winning effort, so my confidence in her chances to win the BC mile hasn't waivered. · 235 days ago ·

  • footlick · I think hat she is running against better horses his year. Other than Makfi, Paco Boy was he best horse she ran against last year. This year she has run against Canford Cliffs, Immortal Verse and Dream Ahead. IMO they are more in Makfi's league than Paco Boy's. But she seems to love American tracks and American racing and you can't say that about all Euros. She will be a tough bet against here, unless you feel she is going to go off form. · 235 days ago ·

  • Cigar16 · Her race today was way too "wham, bam, thank you ma'am". She was a tightly canned sardine on the rail, never looked comfortable, had her ears pinned, and never had the chance to settle. The jock moved her a tad to early just to get her comfortable and clear knowing full well she needed it! That being said, she had her burst of speed a bit too early and it was nowhere near as strong as usual. I believe she was a bit beat from humming along in that sardine can. She should come in strong to CD. · 236 days ago ·

  • fonnerparkfilly · I think Head is correct, "the mileage is catching up to Goldikova". At what point are we expecting too much of a horse? Time and time again this mare has dug deep and given her all against the best, male and female, but she can't beat father time. I have nothing but absolute respect for Goldikova. She is a great thoroughbred. Losing without losing heart is the mark of a great champion. Goldi girl is that and more. I still believe that longevity defines a horse. Win or lose, we all know the depth of Goldikova's soul. As for the Breeders Cup, a 4th time? I wouldn't bet against her. · 236 days ago ·

  • yukichan · Agree...it is SYT's race to lose, but the talent in this race is pretty awesome. And what do you think of the supplement of Meandre, Danedream, and Masked Marvel? Make the Arc even more exciting and complicated...for second place! I think the firm/fast going also works against Danedream. So my picks are SYT, Sarafina, Galikova. · 240 days ago ·

  • medlocke · Without a doubt, Frankel's a special horse with freakish ability. He's made some very good looking 3yr.old's look very ordinary so far in his career. That said, I don't think there's a better turf miler in racing right now than Canford Cliffs. I think Frankel being the favorite in the Sussex Stakes stems in large part from him having to give Frankel 9lbs. in the race. But Canford Cliffs is a big bull of a horse himself, with an incredible turn of foot. It's no accident that he beat Goldikova in this year's Queen Anne Stakes, and it's also no accident that he's won 5 straight major G1 races at a mile on turf. Frankel's great. But he's yet to face a horse with the speed and tactical ability that Canford Cliffs possesses. My $$ says that Canford Cliffs repeats as Sussex Stakes champion again this year!! But it should be a fantastic race!! · 309 days ago ·
