since today is Northern Dancer day, here is today's question. what son of Northern Dancer was best at stud? Danzig, Sadler's Wells, Lyphard, Northern Taste, Nureyev, Sovereign Dancer, Nijinsky, or Storm Bird?
Wicked Strong threw his hat into the Kentucky Derby 2014 ring with a sharp late running victory in the Wood Memorial. Wicked Strong, 3rd in the G2 Remsen as a juvenile, put his ugly Gulfstream Park form behind him, and he is not the first closer to loathe the Gulf only to reverse form on fair footin...Read More

  • zesho · The tactic and reasons for this breeding are good but they should have waited until one of zenyatta's offspring started racing, anyhow, I am very excited for this foal, · 307 days ago ·

  • Lyric · Well the reasons behind this pairing is good, I hope that the resulting foal is a well balanced one. Zenyatta's colt by Tapit is well balanced and has a very nice head, where as Z's first colt is not well balanced at all. His head is wayy too big and even with growing up, it will always be unbalanced on a very thin neck. I hope War Front can put better conformation on the resulting foal. I am personally not a War Front fan as he is not a great looking horse himself.Maybe we will al be pleasntly surprised with the outcome! I wish Coz well and maybe he will be a runner someday. · 184 days ago ·

He made headlines in June as the next mate for super-mare Zenyatta. He again made the headlines as the sire of the $2.6 million Keeneland 2013 Yearling sales topper. What's so great about War Front?Read More

  • jonquil · chelsea.devries.37: He does have a good filly or three, but it seems very telling that while Coolmore is very willing to pay out big bucks for War Front colts, I don't recall seeing them show as much/if any interest in any War Front fillies. Coolmore now has several War Front colts in training. · 212 days ago ·

  • jveater · who knows how good this horse is. why would they put him in this race after only two starts? I think somebody knows something we don't. i'll be watching him come race time. · 680 days ago ·

  • icyhotboo · The thing about undefeated in any sport no one knows what the limitation is until defeat happens, let him run. I took a glance at the form and may include him underneath in the exotics. This race has the potential for a big payout. I can't see Union Rags with that enormous stride and a savy jockey losing but it could happen thus my lucky numbers will be in play. $10 on #8 plus staight $2 exacta plays ( all bithdays) 2/8-2/6-1/12-3/8- 1/7-7/2-4/7 oh well gl to me I'll need it. · 680 days ago ·

  • bellesforever1 · LOVED Hard Spun..was my guy then and now..all heart all the time.To Vic..HS ran his heart out in The Classic and the Derby and in any other year would have had a great chance to win them both so saying he couldn't run past 9 panels isn't really fair because he did.He was at his best under that but he has nothing to hang his head about. He always showed up and ran his race and ducked no one.Thank you Brian for the walk down memory lane.Hard Sun Baby!! · 757 days ago ·
