It was so deserving after last year's disqualification and this year's tough losses where it took track and stakes records to beat her. I still can't believe she went off in the JC at 5-1 here in the States?! Looking forward to her to taking on the Japan Triple Crown winner in the Arima Kinen, one of the biggest races of the year that nobody is talking about?! Oh seriously. Come on. I gave this filly a 10 out of 10. The reason: 1. She ran the fastest Arc EVER. 2. She beat the Arc field by several lengths. 3. She has 3 Group 1 wins this year and one Group 2 win. She is an impressive filly let me tell ya. I can't wait until she makes her next start!
Announced today on the Racing Post web-site in the UK: Connection's of Prix De l' Arc De Triomphe winning filly, Danedream, announced that the filly WILL NOT run in this year's Breeders Cup at Churchill Downs. But went on to say that she still might race in the G1 Japan Cup in November!! So no Arc winner at Churchill Downs this year!!

This horse has 3 GR1's, and a GR2. Breaks the ARC Track record for 12f, and crushing So You Think by 7 lengths, and she is ranked this low??. Travesty.
Let's hope she doesn't get sent to Japan after she makes her investors rich. We all know that "retired" thoroughbreds end up in slaughter houses in China and Japan. It doesn't matter how brilliant they were on the track. I can't help but notice that Danedream's new owner {partial owner} is Japanese. I know, how rude of me to notice, but I'm always looking out for the ponies.

  • fonnerparkfilly · Rude or not, the truth is the truth. I have no doubt that Yoshida runs a "top notch" business and I'm sure the horses are well cared for because they are investments. That says nothing about the FACT that these horses are disposed of when they are no longer useful from a financial aspect. It's correct that asian countries are not alone in their policy to slaughter thoroughbreds. Many American horses are suffering such a fate also, but that don't make it right. I think these horses deserve better, and I'll continue to stand up for them. · 228 days ago ·

Danedream's connection's have already said that they're definitely bringing her over for the Breeders Cup. They just haven't fully decided yet if Danedream will run in the BC F&M Turf? Or the BC Turf? My opinion is that she handled pretty much the best of the best middle distance turf horses in Europe convincingly in the Arc. So no matter if she run's in the F&M Turf or the Turf?
