  • justjoe579 · CC didnt even get asked to run and wasnt even blowing over a feather after the race. danza looked good and horses that run AT oaklawn do well at cd! Wick strong i really like him now that florida derby winner is out · 1 day ago ·
  • travel_vic · Fast early paces are truer pace pressure cookers to see what animals can or cannot do. Slow early paces allow theentire field to languish and have tons in reserve. It is in these contests where the odd balls become elevated to having a chance. what continues to KILL me is WHAT is it about a fast early pace that suggests a CLOSER MUST WIN??? Often, very often, the speed of the speed just keeps on rolling never looking back once after the animals destroys the other front end pretenders. This is NOT black and white. · 10 hours ago ·
In the last weekend of major preps for the 2014 Kentucky Derby, Danza sprung a huge upset in the Arkansas Derby, and Dance With Fate waltzed by his rivals in the Blue Grass.Read More

  • racingfactions.com · Medal Count, eat a biscuit and take a nap. Okay now win the Derby at 20/1. Hi ho the dario, the Robby and the Dale. · 1 day ago ·
  • travel_vic · Ofen over looked phenomenon. I was going to bet the good turfer Hitchcock when he came to Hollywood one Summer but I was tipped by a vet that he was a terrible shipper and stayed off him to my relief as he demonstrated that to be true right out there on the course acting up all the way to the gate. · 1 day ago ·

  • travel_vic · People HERE have been around at many of the parallel venues which use the same surface. Our track maintenance director, I.D., calls in company advisors who tell him of new nuances gleaned from the other formulas (there are three different ones you know) and the consensus become common knowledge as to which track does what. · 2 days ago ·

In my opinion I don't think this horse is ready for pressure in the derby. I wouldn't consider him derby material since he seems to be a off and on horse. But we'll have to see what happens and if he chooses to race.

  • tmallios1 · Common Mary i am dissapointed, i have you pegged as one of the Sharpies that can pick up on tongue and cheek. Say it aint so that i mis judged. You are taking the back and forth to serious. I think your boy dishes as good as he takes it. You know what i mean,as stated on earlier threads. It's a Guy thing. · 2 days ago ·

Is returning to California. Owners will decided if he runs in the Derby. Trainer prefers not to. Doesn't think a 3 wk turn around on dirt is ideal. Blue Grass was Plan A all along as it is run over synthetic. Per DRF Privman
I think the owners need to take him to CD and see how he likes the dirt. He was absolutely awesome winning the Blue Grass. He deserves the chance.
  • jenna.heusi · the main reason they are skipping the derby is because of the quick turnaround. doing right by the horse, rather than some who just want to see their horse in the derby no matter the consequence to the horse. · 4 days ago ·
  • Sullivan · Who said they are skipping the Derby?? The horse is coming off a long hiatus on super safe Golden Gate Tapeta. He can take running back in 3 weeks. · 4 days ago ·

  • Mary Z. · Yeah that he won. don't know about him skipping The Derby. Hard to avoid the fever. · 4 days ago ·
  • jvickers · We were at Keeneland yesterday. Dance with Fate was running out of gas as it neared the wire. Another 1/8 and Medal Count would have caught him. I know because I hit the Trifecta and would have lost if the 13 had come in 1st! Maybe the trainer knows the horse has a shot at 1 3/8 but not 1 1/4? · 4 days ago ·

  • paul.nathan.946 · don't know any of the opposition but i rate bobby' kitten up there with the best 3yr old turf horses in the world including all out European gallopers i think hes a big talent and if takes to the surface i would expect him to romp unless there are some undercover stars inn the field · 5 days ago ·
