GELDEDRIDGLING · But back to your list...The main point of contention I would have is you have a number of horses that as of 2-10-2013 have only run sprints but have been racing since last fall. History says they won't make the derby since the clock and point system are very much against them. Secondly, many our touting Tiz the Truth as the next Bodemeister but Tiz took 3 races to break his maiden and Bode was running a strong 2nd in a G2 in this third race. Plus, Bode ran nearly a full 2 seconds faster and set much quicker fractions in his mile MSW that elicits all the comparisons. Finally, Tiznow colts have never finished in the top 4 of the Kentucky Derby. Tiz the Truth may be "the truth" but so far history says otherwise. · 97 days ago ·

Something that is tabu among those who make their living on this sport (i.e. print & television media), yet the majority of horseplayers will take in what these guys/gals spew as if it were Gospel. marylandgq · @andy.maduza: Unless he gets hmi in an overnight, the Gotham has to be Plan B. @TimSmith: He's 3-for-3, has the pedigree, BUT who he's beaten haven't proven to be much of a threat since facing him. For example, VEGAS NO SHOW on Sat. @ Lrl R9 (Miracle Wood Stakes) got beat as 4-5 fav by four MD-based runners. · 96 days ago ·

As far as OXBOW, my only knock on him (and some others not on my list) is his running style (SPEED). Imagine the Derby with all of these... buds · I dont agree with your list, but I gotta give you props for putting your "Set" on the chopping block. You obviously came up with this list on your own and I have to agree with you on a few picks. I use Helms Sire book, dosage and AWD to come up with my list. I always come up with a few that are not on others radar. Some make it some dont. Last year I liked Take Charge Indy and My Adonis...I dont have to tell you how that worked out, but I also played Super Saver in the futures for a nice pay off! · 96 days ago ·

I do all of my own research, with the help of Brisnet products and plenty of "gut feelings". I could care less who Haskins, Watchmaker or any of the other "expert" is touting.
