  • ArturoLaguna · Just curious what equine/handicapping credentials Mr. dubby30 possess to question the training methods of Bob Baffert . With 3 Kentucky Derby wins to his name and several other winners in the other legs of the triple, Baffert's training modus operandi seem to work. As Steve Haskins of The Bloodhorse wrote: "Leave the training to the trainers" · 441 days ago ·

  • 12 Clip · Astrology runs like a plodder. I don't even think he's worth talking about at the present moment. I don't think there is anybody in Steve Asmussen's stable that will be good enough to even make the Derby this season. Steve is a great trainer, and his horses are still getting used to their environment in So. Cal. As for Bob Baffert, it's a known fact that he likes to get the most out of his horses in the morning. Whether that's a waste of a horse is obviously up for debate. It's hard to knock Bafferts production in the 3-year-old series over the past two decades. · 441 days ago ·

Crossbow is off the Derby trail with a bone chip in his right front ankle.
The Florida Derby (gr. I) would be next for Soldat following the colt's dominating two-length win in the Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park, his trainer said Feb. 27. Soldat is “happy and in great shape,” conditioner Kiaran McLaughlin said on the morning after the...Read More

Because of the abundance of speed and drawing the disadvantageous rail in the seven-furlong Hutcheson Stakes (gr. The Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) might be the headline event at Gulfstream Park on Saturday but the Hutcheson Stakes (G2) appears to be the better wagering opportunity. Ten three-year-olds will line up for the seven furlong Hutcheson and Todd Pletcher's Travelin Man is the 5-2 morning line favorite...Read More

I'm exited for this guy to get racing more. He raced pretty good for his debut, and his lines say a lot. He's trained by the great Kiaran McLaughin, so it looks as if he should be on his way toward a nice career.
