What the Nation is saying about Creme Fraiche...

In my life as a horse racing fan, the Meadowlands was a special place. For years a very good racing buddy and I went to the races at the Meadowlands every Thursday night. It meant late nights and long drives along the New Jersey Turnpike, but the racing was good and by today’s standards the crowds w...Read More

  • icyhotboo · I did like the rider change and he looked great before the race. I used him as my saver but screwed it up as I played exactas with him on top because I felt I needed more than 7/2 with him but I didn't have ST, I was a bit concerned betting Fort Larned as he had never gone that far before and even 1/16 mile makes a difference. He never passed ST so maybe it just wasn't his day not the distance. IDK I didn't realize until after looking that those two finished the same way last year. I love Rosie but Rosario is so much stronger and last race before this she let him drift way wide taking RTG with her.It was a fun day, looking forward to the BC now. Brian do you happen to know what the pick four would have paid if your ticket hit with the #1, or #5? Just curious. · 261 days ago ·

I found myself chanting the 72-year-old trainer’s first name with thousands of others at Belmont Park that day. “Woody! Woody! Woody!” You could not help but to be caught up in the excitement and admiration for the man that had just won his fifth consecutive Belmont Stakes. No matter who you bet on ...Read More

  • Clay johnson · To appreciate Wood Stephens read "Guess I'm Lucky" the biography. This writer remembers listening to and watching Woody Stephens training 2 YO's at Hialeah in the winter and spring. Every maiden 2 YO in the Stephens barn is a live wager. 2 YO's in the training of Woody Stephens must break maiden by fifth start or find somewhere else to get fed. · 378 days ago ·

  • ILuvTurfRacing · Before I say what I'm about to say, I'd like it noted for the record that I'm a huge fan of Game on Dude, and admire this horse a ton!! That said, I'm not sure the word "Great" actually applies to Game on Dude? I think he probably has as much heart and pure desire to win as any gelding racing in America, or any horse period for that matter. But 6-wins, 4-places, and 1-show in 15 lifetime starts is a long way from being labeled "Great" in my view. TJMO. · 497 days ago ·

  • xmango93x · Could be the best since Lava Man, but I am so biased toward Better Talk Now that I'm probably ineligible. I don't think I'll ever love a racehorse as much as I love that old gelding. Of course, that's because he was "THE horse" for me - the one who got me into racing when the most beautiful black horse I'd ever seen won the 2004 Breeders' Cup. This sport needs more great geldings that stick around and build fan bases. I don't think he was ever as popular as a horse like Lava Man, but to me Brass Hat was another one of those geldings that just stole my heart. The old, classy type that doesn't always win but always gives an honest account of himself. Evening Attire also comes to mind. Right now, I'll say Game on Dude is the best since Lava Man, but it'll take a lot to out-do that. Well Armed was a terrific horse on his day, also, but I'll put GOD above him based on consistency. · 493 days ago ·
