What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about Cozzene...

Is Hansen or Creative Cause good enough to be considered one of the best gray thoroughbreds? If so, they would have to be better than some of the greatest horses of all time. Read More

  • Mike in SB · 1993 was one of the greatest years for American Turf horses with both Lure and Horse of the Year Kotashaan, and another top turf horse Bien Bien who I believe was a son of the great Manila. I remember seeing Kotashaan beating Bien Bien by a nose in the 1 3/4 mile San Juan Capistrano and later winning by a neck or so in the Breeders Cup Turf. Super group of turf horses that year. · 171 days ago ·

  • BrianZipse · Yes, CFC ... Thirty Slews was the first time I remember Baffert ... Bien Bien was excellent, just not quite Kotashaan. · 171 days ago ·

I love this horse, he was so sweet and beautiful, but he doesn't belong in the Top 100, seriously.
  • icyhotboo · A lot of horses belong in the top 100 but I would think they really have to expand to somewhere between 250-500 to give all horses the respect they deserve. If you were to start with Man o War in 1920 that's 90 years which is about 1 good horse each year. · 896 days ago ·

  • KyOaksRunner · I personally would have Goldikova's 3rd straight as #1, but DaHoss was incredible!! Love these lists you're doing Brian...I don't have to seach all the replays on youtube this way! :) · 910 days ago ·

  • Winplacsho · I don't know if it was the camera angle that made it more dramatic, but I love that 2000 mile that War Chant won. · 910 days ago ·
