Older Comments about Cozmic One...

I think that it is way to early to start putting Jess's Dream and Union Jackson on any list!! They have even had one race yet!! If this list is even close to being real!! Just a little favoritism from Rachel fans!! Don't get me wrong I love Rachel also!! I just think that they missed the boat on this one omitting CoZmic One ( don't forget the Z) Not everyone know about the rating system on this site!!
any 2YOs you would like me to keep track of & list workouts for? so far i'm following Cozmic One, Jess's Dream, Angela Renee (full sister of To Honor and Serve), Ashland Park (Ashado's colt), Daredevil, Epsilon (1/2 to Alpha), Fashion Alert, & Thirtysevenliveson.

  • amfuller · robglycenfer I knew that much. LOL John said he was turned out before arriving at Belmont so he hadn't been doing anything. I was meaning as far as how he looked body wise and on his gallop, etc. · 189 days ago

An analysis of Cozmic One's conformation based on the photo on the right. Coz is a well balanced horse with a clean head, neck, and body. He has straight legs with turf horse pasterns and a stayer's shoulder and hip. He will need a good bit of conditioning but has nice gaskins. Overall, I would not be surprised to see him debut in the first 8.5f MSW on the turf at Belmont, or just catch the end of the Del Mar meet.

  • https://www.facebook.com/mimi.hunter.77 · I'd like to see pictures showing way of going - those pasterns are a little longer than I like to see, and the angles aren't the same - front pastern to shoulder - you can have the best conformation in the world, and a faulty way of going will scrap all of that. There is also the chance that the pictures above have been airbrushed - they are publicity photos after-all. · 192 days ago

Heading to Belmont track this morning.. https://twitter.com/DRFBreeding/status/475669050962771968/photo/1
Been hearing some controversy over how long it takes a colt to be prepared to race once it reaches the "race trainer". I'd like to hear opinions on how long till he's ready to race. We all know John lets the horse tell him, and many think that is slow. But he has had plenty of two year olds start before. This one does not appear immature, as I thought he would. He spent a very short time at Mayberry farm before moving to Belmont. Is that hinting at maybe he's coming along quickly?
is in training at Belmont Park with John Shirreffs.

  • Age of Reason · Sullivan, your sources were right. The Mosses reported this morning on zenyatta.com, "We felt that many of you have already heard the news [that] Cozmic One has arrived at Belmont Park to train with John Shirreffs! [However] we initially kept it under wraps because there is already enough excitement in New York surrounding this weekend's Belmont Stakes." These guys are as classy as they've ever been, delaying their incredibly exciting news out of respect for California Chrome's Triple Crown bid. • UnionRagsRules · He just looked like he was being held back to me, raring to go. They say he isn't afraid of anything. So, mentally, he's ready. Physically, he's not. I know that the Moss's and Sherrifs will do good by him as they do with all their horses. · 223 days ago
New photos and VIDEO of Coz training. I'm curious about what you more experienced people think about his movment and over all look in the video. http://www.zenyatta.com/news/training-days

  • kaitlinefree1 · he looks pretty good. decent sized also. & agreeing with Sullivan here, doesn't remind me a lot of his parents. · 252 days ago
  • RichChatter · He should mature into a very nice looking animal. He appears to be a pleasant mix of both parents. · 252 days ago
Such a cute colt hope he follows the path like his mom

  • Dressage3295 · Even if he does run, I don't think he'll do so well. I like her Tapit colt more. · 252 days ago
  • RichChatter · I wouldn't care if he makes the Derby next year or not. If he does, that would be cool. What I want is for them not to rush this colt. Start him when he's ready and don't get swallowed up by the Derby fever. If he goes to John Sherrifs, I don't think we'll have to worry about that! · 252 days ago
When he go to run??

  • chelsea.devries.37 · If he does run we probably have another year or 2 to wait. · 272 days ago
  • kay.robinett · He is still very young. Given that neither of his parents started until three years old I do not expect to see him in a race anytime soon. · 272 days ago

When he go to run??
I think That Cozmic One is going to win his first race as a maiden
I'm thinking that he has very long legs for a bearly 2 yearold.

  • Sullivan · Because this colt is only 1/2 Zenyatta and though Bernardini was late maturing, his sons and daughters have not nessecarily been the same way · 318 days ago

Am hearing Breeder's Cup weekend as a debut possibility
Expectations are high for him...BUT he's a big boy like his Mom so I won't expect him to run in his 2yo season, Mom didn't run until late 3yo season.

  • Sullivan · Hives affected her yearling price, she didn't start at 2 because John Shirreffs and his team did not feel that she was ready, and anyone who knows John Shireffs knows that he is more than willing to wait a bit. · 350 days ago
  • Northport · Along with the fact that Zenyatta's family is notoriously large, they take a while to mature physically (or so it seems) · 350 days ago
yesssssss!!!!
Any word on when his Debut is
  • RuffianCy75 · It's barely January, and considering John is getting him, I don't expect to hear word about a debut any time soon. My guess is late 2014 or even early 2015. · 353 days ago
