Older Comments about Corinthian's Jewel...

Nice colt. Was on his way, but entered over his head in his first starts. A trainer I once worked for said to me when training and entering a young horse in it's first starts" Never put them in where you think they might get their feelings hurt when thery are not stake ready...it will stay with them for a long time, maybe forrever. Great horses are not made, they are born wet, with he hopes that they will not get lost in the shuffle of sales for only profit, and fly by night trainers only to make a buck". This colt had it in him, and still has. At 2, I saw him at Saratoga @ 1 1/16. He collared them. He was there, but he had no "bottom". The loss was not his fault. Any of you in the business still know what that means?
Corinthian’s Jewel is a half brother to Las Virgenes (G1) and Hollywood Oaks (G2) heroine Zazu.
