  • zXSwordXz · WTH...I was so looking forward to see how well this horse run later on this year. He almost wire the field at a mile and half. 1 /14 is a cake walk for him. · 30 days ago
  • goblin · BH has the story now. Apparently to have surgery by Dr. Bramlage. · 30 days ago
What do the Connections do with this horse going forward?. This was his race, and just missed, but it seems 12f is his distance, and possibly longer(nothing available there).

  • EP Taylor · Sorry Jmac. I bet it across the board with those odds, and incase he got beat by Chrome. $27 for place, 13 show was nice. · 33 days ago
  • tmallios · Your opinion is wrong. None of these horses want the distance. How did he plod along in the P.P. Did you watch the races as you say or are you making things up as your other stooge pals do. At the Peter Pan ,after the heavy rains came. The track became a monster speed track. So all of a sudden a speed ball like Tonalist was chasing a plodder??l · 33 days ago
Will be ridden by Javier Castellano for the Belmont.

  • Holly Bullsheet · maybe commissioner can build on the kick he showed in the Peter Pan. no, it wasn't breathtaking, but he's a tracker, could work. suitable pedigree for the distance so maybe we haven't seen his best yet. p.s. I'm not playing him, just playing devil's advocate. · 51 days ago
  • Sullivan · Thinking behind Commissioner's finish is that he got enough time to rest. And he was still second to Tonalist who coasted under wraps. No thanks · 51 days ago
on April 6, Commissioner worked 4F at Palm Meadows on Fast Dirt in :49.05 b finishing 8/24.
  • EP Taylor · He has one last shot. I have backed him everytime, and hopefully he gets a 1st or 2nd. If not, we may see him in the Peter Pan/Belmont. · 95 days ago
Elliott Walden ‏@WinStarCEO 44m @WinStarFarm@HRTVLaffit @ToddTVG Invading Arkansas with Revolutionary & Commisioner. Mike Smith to ride both. Commish came back good.

  • The Doctor · he more than held his own against top billing. i think he probably hits the board and moves on to Kentucky but I could be wrong. · 108 days ago
  • Sullivan · Very smart move, this is the easiest way to get in the gate. Louisiana came up too soon. · 108 days ago
If he makes the derby, i still think he has a chance...he needs to be more forwardly placed though, at least mid-pack it seems, he was WAY too far back in the Sunland and had no chance at catching MH or Chitu.
  • The Doctor · Well Velasquez said he overreached getting out of the gate and tore off a shoe causing him to stumble and lose position at the start. · 110 days ago
Will win the Sunland Derby.
According to Pletcher, both Commissioner AND Global Stirke will be entered in Sunland Park Derby (Mar. 23).

  • kay.robinett · Yes - Mexicoma is also one to watch closely as the distances increase! · 139 days ago

This is why I hate these prep races not being longer then 8.5f. A horse like Commissioner who has run at only 9f since his 8f maiden, has to cut back in distance, only to go back up to 9f for the last Major round of preps. Anyone else think that these preps should be longer, and the major preps 10f?. Wouldn't that somewhat weed out the horses who can't get the distance earlier?. Thouughts?. I am not sure if it was Tmallios who commented on skipping the next prep for the longer ones for this horse on another thread?. If not Tmallios, my apologies if I missed who it was.

  • buzzcat859 · Hey E P Taylor You are right. I seen his 3rd dam(Medicine Woman) win at churchill ky derby day 1990 with Pat Day up WOW. This makes me Love Commisioner now Thanks EP Taylor · 172 days ago
  • travel_vic · go to ANY major track and count the number of 8.5 8.3 races as compared to 9. It is outrageous. · 171 days ago
Sullivan- Remeber when I said I liked this horse and was eagerly awaiting his return, and you said why because he won at 9f against Lackees?.....now what do you think.

  • EP Taylor · Yes the Saratoga field was not superb, but the experience he gained was valuable. He did beat a couple nice 3 year olds last out. I just want to see a quality AP Indy get it done this year. · 177 days ago
  • Sullivan · Back to the original provoking thread, regardless of what he got from it, it was against lucklaster horses. I mean that allowance was nice but Top Billing still hasn't been a stakes performet yet eithet · 177 days ago
His running style & conformation resembles WinStar's 2013 3rd place Derby finisher Revolutionary.
