  • ILuvTurfRacing · Before I say what I'm about to say, I'd like it noted for the record that I'm a huge fan of Game on Dude, and admire this horse a ton!! That said, I'm not sure the word "Great" actually applies to Game on Dude? I think he probably has as much heart and pure desire to win as any gelding racing in America, or any horse period for that matter. But 6-wins, 4-places, and 1-show in 15 lifetime starts is a long way from being labeled "Great" in my view. TJMO. · 2 days ago ·

NYRA gave the recently retired Commentator a royal send-off prior to today’s fifth race, which was named after the 8-year-old gelding. Commentator led the post parade as the giant video screen on the infield showed highlights of his victories in the 2005 and 2008 Whitney at the Spa.Read More
The New York Racing Association will pay tribute to one of the most popular horses in racing when the recently-retired Commentator is honored on Sept. 6 at Saratoga. The sun shone proudly every day at old Saratoga during Week 2 and not one turf race was transferred to the main track and if you know anything about the Spa and the shaky weather, that is an accomplishment. Read More

I don't care if he wins the Whitney or not, the old guy's great in my book. Just when you think it's time to keep him in the barn, he pulls another rabbit out of his hat and wins again. All the best to this old war horse. He's a proven veteran and a proven champion.
Saturday’s Stephen Foster Handicap (G1) at Churchill Downs featured a salty crew of Grade 1-winning handicap horses… No, wait a minute. In fact, it didn’t include even one horse that had ever won a Grade 1 event on the main track. Read More
