  • Mary Z. · He just asked about Cigar Street the other week, tc. I contacted the owners. One responded. Why did you post that he was injured? · 1399 days ago
  • Mary Z. · You can check the other Cigar Street threads or maybe a Skipaway stakes thread. Where'd you guys learn interrogation from, me? · 1399 days ago
He's my pick in the Skip Away. Gonna bet a lot of money on him!

  • rafirox · Thank you, Mary for the update. I wonder why he was out in the first place? I haven't heard anything. · 1411 days ago
  • Mary Z. · I told the owner that he could read fan comments about his horse here. Maybe he'll comment some time :) · 1411 days ago
Cigar Street handsome! Whether there is at it a page on Facebook? I want even more photos with it! lol
  • rasta · He trains? · 1450 days ago
  • Floridaf · He does not appear to have a Facebook page, but here is an article with a nice picture of the Skip Away Stakes winner. [http://www.gulfstreampark.com/racing/race-info/news/cigar-street-scores-first-stakes-victory-skip-away] He has not had a published work since winning the Skip Away, so it's possible that Mott is giving him a short break for the time being. · 1450 days ago
Nice win for him, and he wins his first stakes race.
Cigar Street, one of this spring's most talked-about Derby contenders who suffered a hairline fracture after the Lousiana Derby (G2) in only his 3rd start, returned today victorious at Gulfstream Park versus older horses over 1 1/16 miles. Despite being hung wide on both turns behind moderate fractions, he took the lead into the stretch and held off Travers third-place finisher Fast Falcon by 2 lengths. Given that he's a son of Derby winner Street Sense and out of a half-sister to Cigar, I'm sure great things are expected out of this colt in his 4 year old year. I know he's a personal favorite of mine!
  • rafirox · I was there, right at the finish line. He really ran a good race. Johnny sat him right there and asked him for it in the stretch. Held Fast Falcon off real easy. Very impressive and I think he will be a major player next year. · 1583 days ago
  • rafirox · This one has an incredible pedigree. And he continued his winning ways today. The 4 year old colt out of Street Sense-Arcadiana by Deputy Minister won yet again today! I had him $100 WS in his last race, hope he continues to win! · 1531 days ago
Good looking win today!
16 days is too soon to run in the La Derby, IMO. Hopefully they opt for a prep in April.
  • larooski · 16 days is too short. They could give him 2 more weeks by waiting for the Arkansas Derby. · 1865 days ago
