What the Horse Racing Nation is saying about Chloe Kate...

The Black-Eyed Susan Stakes was first inaugurated at Pimlico Race Course in 1919 and was won by Milkmaid in the same year Sir Barton became the first American Triple Crown winner. Run as the Pimlico Oaks until 1952 the race was then renamed the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes in honor of the Maryland state ...Read More

  • BigAConfidential · Brian, I haven't had a chance to stop by and commend you on the work you've done this season. Great stuff. I too am looking forward to the Susan. Despite her flop at Tampa, I cannot seem to shake the brilliance of Royal Delta's maiden score at Belmont. Like her chances on Friday. · 731 days ago ·

  • KyOaksRunner · Thank you very much, I've been enjoying it a lot! Great call on Royal Delta btw, I had her and Wyomia as my top two but didn't think she would win it! · 723 days ago ·

During training hours Friday morning at Fair Grounds, conditioner Neil Howard reported all systems still “on go” for appearances by the talented sophomore duo of Gaillardia Racing’s Wilkinson and Courtlandt Farms’ Machen in the upcoming 97th renewal of the $1 million Louisiana Derby on March 26. &n...Read More

  • mdracing69 · Machen was not embarrassed in the Risen Star. He was giving away a seasoning edge and his task is not impossible in the LA Derby. He will almost certainly offer more wagering value next time. · 804 days ago ·

  • RaTalk_Girl · He will have my money in the LA Derby. I didn't think his Risen Star was bad and I want to stick with him through at least one more race. If they leave Theriot on him, I may stick around longer. I am a huge Theriot fan. I think leaving these two together is a great match. Machen has issues leaving the gate and Theriot is very quick out the gate. · 804 days ago ·

Five D Thoroughbreds & Wind River Stables’ Kathmanblu, making her first start on dirt as a 3-year-old, established herself as a serious contender for the Grade I Kentucky Oaks with a convincing 1 ¼-length win over Donver Stables’ Inglorious in Saturday’s Grade III Rachel Alexandra Stakes for 3-y...Read More
  • mdracing69 · Kathmanblu did what she had to do but was hardly scintilating and will have to run much faster to be considered a serious Oaks threat. For comparison purposes, the Mineshaft was run in 1:43.45 (99 BSF), the Risen Star in 1:43.98 (94 BSF), and the Rachel Alexandra in 1:45.13. · 817 days ago ·

  • Thead'or · Like many horses, I think she likes the Churchill clay based dirt, instead of the sand at Fairgrounds. That was a good field, and she did what she had to to win. · 817 days ago ·

The Grade 3 Rachel Alexandra Stakes on Saturday has shaped up to be the deepest sophomore filly race of the year and a fantastically exciting prep for the May 6th Kentucky Oaks. The field of seven includes stakes winners Gran Lioness, Bouquet Booth and Inglorious. But all eyes will be fixed on Kathm...Read More

  • KyOaksRunner · I think Bouquet Booth is a good filly but definitely outclassed by the likes of Kathmanblu and perhaps Inglorious and Gran Lioness. She didn't beat much of note in the Silverbulletday Stakes and had to work pretty hard to to it. · 820 days ago ·
