  • yukichan · Reading this reminded me of one of my favorite racehorses growing up--La Prevoyante. With this talk of whether there could be a 2 yr old HOY, let alone a filly--let's remember her as the vote was split in 1972 with Secretariat getting the votes of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations of North America and the Daily Racing Form, while La Prevoyante was chosen by the National Turf Writers Association. Of course Big Red edged her out in the final voting. She was not in the wiki--strange that her race is but not her. I added her but cannot find her racing record to complete. Hopefully someone can add her races--La Prevoyante, a U.S. Champion 2-Yr-Old Filly (1972) Canadian Horse of the Year (1972) Canadian Champion Older Female Horse (1974) and Canadian/American Hall Of Famer. One of the all-time great racing mares, who unfortunately had a very tragic ending to her life. Read her bio if you don't remember her. · 178 days ago ·
