  • ILuvTurfRacing · @paul.nathan.946, Possibly stretching out to 1800 meters for the first time in her career played a big part in her defeat? IMO, she'd have to improve dramitcally on today's run to beat the horses lining up for the G1 Jebel-Hatta & G1 Dubai Duty Free at 1800 meters on Super Saturday and World Cup night. If they want to go forward with Certify to Super Saturday & World Cup night they may to consider dropping back down to 1600 meters and switching her over from to turf to tapeta for the G3 Burj Nahaar and/or G2 Godolphin Mile for her to be seen at her best, IMO. · 1164 days ago
  • Euro Trash · There was always that chance that her previous race took more out of her than it looked. The top three are not bad horses. I wonder if she went into season? · 1164 days ago
It was so very special to see Certify win so nicely in the Cape Verde today. She has been a special filly since the day I foaled her. My credit goes to John Ferguson, Jerry Duffy and Darren Fox for watching this filly grow since day one and encouraging Sheikh Mohammed to buy her in spite of some repository issues that were present when she sold. She outgrew these issues and has since become one of, if not the best horse I've ever bred. She is and always will be a star in my eyes. Her dam, Please Sign In, was so game and such a very special racemare and producer for me. The family goes back to champions Habitat and Suave Dancer. She has sure made her 4th dam, Little Hut, proud!

  • ahnuckolsjr · Please Sign In is still here at Hurstland Farm and will have a Bernardini foal on a foal share arrangement with Darley within the next 30 days. She is booked back to Street Sense for 2014. · 1184 days ago
  • ahnuckolsjr · To tcglory and those questioning the use of steroids. She was given the steroids that she received while she was out of training, although still in the UK. She never raced on steroids nor was it ever insinuated that she had. The tests are very stringent in the UK during the race meets and had she been receiving any illegal medications, she would have had positive test results. Alfred Nuckols, Jr. · 1184 days ago
A picture perfect comeback race! Hope she meets up this year with Sky Lantern. She beat Sky Lantern in the Sweet Solara in August 2012, then came back to demolish the field in the Shadwell Fillies Mile in September that year, cementing her championship season as the Juvenile Cartier Filly. The Cape Verdi lifts the cloud over her career considerably, to come back after over 480 days off and cruise to an easy win in a classy field! She is one of those fillies you can't help fall in love with, with her Zenyatta style come-from behind stretch runs, she is thrilling to watch. Hope she and Sky Lantern meet up this year. Would love to see them both at Royal Ascot.
Off the track since September, 2012 and Certify rolls home under a hand ride by Mickael Barzalona to win the G2 Cape Verdi and keep her unbeaten record in tact. Very impressive peformance by this filly for such a long layoff.

  • Euro Trash · @paul, Sometimes Fabre's transfers hold form for a race or two but usually they are transferred when in form. Obviously Tasaday was not in form. · 1185 days ago

SHE'S B-A-A-A-A-A-A-C-C-C-C-C-K-K-K-K! Shook off over 400 days of rust like it was so much water and rolled home in her Zenyatta-style late run! Look out Sky Lantern!!! Hope they meet up at Royal Ascot this year! Will be a race for the ages!
She looks like a beast in meydan, ohh wait thats just the drugs

Certify is most likely to make her first start in 16 months in the G2 Cape Verdi at Meydan on January 30th
Champion filly Certify is back in training with Charlie Appleby at Marmoom Stables in Dubai after a 6 month ban from April to October and is being pointed at top flight races for mares during the Winter Carnival
dose nto deserve to be on the undefeated list!
Barred from running in the 1,000 Guineas. Report to come
Wonderful Filly who will romp in the English Guineas this year if Godolphin enter her.
There is no way you should have Certify at 26 and Sky Lantern at #9!! Did you not see the Sweet Solera where Certify beat Sky Lantern and Lantern tried to challenge but was no match! Certify is now unbeaten in 4 starts. And, she looks for all the world like Zenyatta with her nearly black coat, white shadow roll, white forehead splash, and even her racing style of coming from way off the pace. Cannot wait for her to get back on the track in the spring. Would love for her to come to the U.S.

  • northport · It's because Sky Lantern raced in the US, and even though she lost miserably, that is still (for god knows why) going to get her a higher rating · 1591 days ago
  • annmatt · I see they corrected their earlier error! Certify is now ranked #4, as she certainly should be near or at the top! · 1576 days ago
Certify is a monster horse very underrated
Have to love this filly, Certify!!!! She looks for all the world like Zenyatta flying from somewhere in the back of the pack, usually, and her stride, her white shadow roll, all put me in mind of Z.
  • northport · she certainly doesn't like to lose, let's hope her record will be half as good as zenyatta's :) · 1622 days ago
This talented Elusive Quality filly extends her win streak to 4 for 4 by winning the G1 Shadwell Fillies' Mile yesterday. Stubborn to load and slow to break, she outclassed the field to win by 4 1/2 lengths.
Wins the G2 May Hill Stakes at Doncaster to remain an unbeaten 3 for 3 after breaking her maiden first time out at Newmarket and then beating recent G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner, Sky Lantern, in the G3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket. Up until now, Godolphin have taken this filly through the same path they took White Moonstone during her juvenile season in 2010. So if they continue on the same course with Certify, the G1 Shadwell Fillies' Mile should be next.
