Cassatt's back in training and firing bullets! Bred to go long, hopes are high if she stays sound.
According to a report by Foxhill Farms, Cassatt has a fracture of the shin. "The long range outlook for her is excellent".
Cassatt generates buzz after her mile work yesterday at the Fair Grounds: http://inthemoneypost.com/kentucky-oaks-path-cassatt-generating-buzz-at-fair-grounds/
On Feb. 9th she breezed 1 mile in 1:39.60 over Fast Dirt at Fair Grounds finishing 1/1
Cassatt works has good work today, I believe in preparation for her stakes debut in the Rachel Alexandra. This one is very, very special -- one to keep a close eye on!

  • Sullivan · Maybe the extra time was for her to develop which included rating, but I do not know if you are understanding that the extra time was not planned and that perhaps the first start should never have happend · 169 days ago
  • JanicePalmer · Well, that could be. She was pushed in that race midway through and was clearly tired down the lane. I'm guessing that wasn't what Larry had in mind, so maybe she needed some freshening? Whatever, it sure looks like she came back better and more professinal in her next start. She now appears to be ready to tackle longer, especially if she continues to rate like she did in her last race. · 169 days ago
Is headed for the Rachel Alexandra Stakes on Feb. 22 at Fair Grounds.
Very impressive winner today at 6f -- Fair Grounds, Race9. She looks ready for prime time with a little more seasoning. Great training job by Larry Jones.
This one looks like a beast and trains like one, look for her to be a major oaks trail player next year. one to watch
  • Sullivan · Mr. Porter is loaded - I'm blanking on his colt's name but he has a nice one out there · 255 days ago
Got placed 2nd after a DQ but looked nice.
Has been training nicely and makes her debut on Friday.
