  • ILuvTurfRacing · @buckpasser, I just found out today that my comment was actually only half correct. I got a message from Thoroughmedia that said Carlton House is indeed going to Australia to the yard of trainer Gai Waterhouse after he runs in the Hong Kong Cup on Sunday, but Thorougmedia informed me that he will still be racing in the Queen's colors in Australia, too. My fault, I just initially misunderstood the segment about this story when I first heard it on-line. · 165 days ago ·

  • buckpasser · ILTR. Not a problem. When I read your comment, I had to go back to my copy of racing post to see if I misread the story. Regardless, from what I read in the London Times, the Queen is very excited to have one of her horses racing in Australia. · 165 days ago ·

  • Murraylawson · To compare frankel to secretariat is outrageous!!! Secretariat holds a decade long track record compared to frankel who has race substandard fields and by the way... That 11 length win... No even ascot track record ! 'so you think ' would give this young guy a race worthy of the reputation! The connections I'm sure are to interested in his reputation and breeding value to take his abroad out of his comfort zone · 332 days ago ·

  • MarcelloMarocco · Murray is Ignorant..please excuse him. Frankel has the scalp of 30 GR1 winners, totaling 85-90 GR1 wins......put that in your pipe and smoke it Murray. Sercretariat never beat those numbers, and trust me I am not comparing the two because they are both great. · 218 days ago ·

  • yukichan · I've been following his career since he burst onto the Australian racing scene, claiming champion 3 yr old honors, me being partial to NZ breds. AOB reported by UK racing to have said: "It took me a year and a half to learn how to train him properly...I am so sorry to the Australian people that I’ve made a muck up for so long." · 337 days ago ·

  • medlocke · @woodbinemile, At their best, I think both Immortal Verse and Dick Turpin are really good turf milers. But Frankel's really in a category all his own. I think Immortal Verse is likely to find out the hard way that beating Goldikova over a mile like she did in the Prix Jacques Le Marois is a different proposition altogether than trying to beat to Frankel over a mile? • medlocke · I think Treasure Beach is a much better horse than the "so-called experts" gave him credit for being. If Mikhail Barzelona mistimes his ride at Epsom on Pour Moi by even a second, we're looking at a dual Derby winner in Treasure Beach. And if history has taught us anything, it's that only special 3yr.old colt's win both the Epsom and Irish Derbies. I.E., Shergar and Galileo both spring to mind immediately as having won both, along with the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. · 695 days ago ·
