Was it the horse or the pharmalogical boost we all saw on the track? Why guess and go with those without the history of being "hooked" by their frightened and paranoid connections. · 80 days ago ·

I hope US breeders show him some love...Frankel's bro at a quarter of his price I suspect...
  • northport · I think he will be well supported... with Frankel standing at roughly $200,000 USD and this guy standing at $7,500 USD (and being a G3 winner himself) I think that is a pretty good value · 110 days ago ·

Bullet Train, a Group-winning, three-quarter brother to the sensational and undefeated Frankel, will enter stud in 2013 at Wintergreen Stallion Station in Midway, Kentucky for a fee of $7,500 it was announced today.Read More
Bullet Train update! BloodHorse.com is reporting this morning that Bullet Train will enter stud at Wintergreen Stallion station in Midway, KY, for a stud fee of $7,500. His book will be managed by noted bloodstock agent Bob Feld, who said "With his excellent speed, athleticism and outstanding pedigree, Bullet Train really suits American racing and should be well-received by breeders from coast to coast." Technically, Bullet Train is a "3/4 brother" to Frankel; not only do they have the same dam, Kind (by Danehill, who has produced 3 Group stakes winners from 3 foals), but Bullet Train's sire, the great Sadler's Wells, is also the sire of Frankel's sire, Galileo. Bullet Train's dam is also half-sister to Powerscourt, winner of the Arlington Million (g1), and who is also a son of Sadler's Wells.
BloodHorse.com is reporting that Frankel's half-brother Bullet Train, a Group 3 winner of England's Derby Trial stakes in his own right, will stand at stud in Kentucky in 2013!

Poor boy, if Frankel is really so amazing why does he require this horse to make his pace every race.

  • zxswordxz · Because he is a closer and it suite him best if the pace is not too slow. Nothing wrong with that technique, surprise a lot more trainers are not using it. · 211 days ago ·

  • travel_vic · No, if it were Frankel he would watch all the other races INSIDE. I was at two match races Frankel set up. First he challenged the best (at that time) sprinter at 2 furlongs versus a q-horse named Chirawiri. The latter was on top by 3 out of the gate and never loked back. Then about three months later he brought a good t-bred to Los Alamitos to race their best 870 yd runner in a match and he beat them too. Don't be with this guy was the lesson learned! · 292 days ago ·
